Inizia come bassista e autore dei brani originali di un gruppo Rock della scena underground della capitale nei primi anni ..90.
Parallelamente studia contrabbasso dapprima presso il Conservatorio Luisa D..Annunzio di Pescara e successivamente presso il Conservatorio Santa Cecilia di Roma, dove si diploma.
Allievo del M° Giancarlo De Frenza, ha studiato con importanti Maestri tra cui il M° Libero Lanzillotta, primo contrabbasso dell..Orchestra dell..Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, il M° Ubaldo Fioravanti.
Svolge intensa attivit.. concertistica, come primo contrabbasso, in varie formazioni da camera, orchestrali e di musica contemporanea (Piccola Orchestra '900, Orchestra Roma 3, Orchestra Sinfonica Giovanile Abruzzese....)
Si .. esibito come solista in Italia e all..estero (Londra, Parigi).
Contemporaneamente allo studio del contrabbasso studia composizione.

La sua prima composizione è del del 1997 dal titolo ..Silenziose Alchimie.. per quartetto presentata insieme ad altre tre composizione all'interno del festival Palcoscenico Roma.Dal 1999 inizia la collaborazione con la Compagnia di Danza Contemporanea Idee Di Velluto, diretta dalla Coreografa Silvia Ceccangeli, componendo le musiche per lo spettacolo ..Contrabbassi.., dove appariva inoltre come Contrabbasso solo in scena, in programma in numerose rassegne, in vari teatri italiani (..Teatri 90.. Milano, ..Estate Fiesolana.. Firenze, ..Concorso Citt.. Di Viterbo.. Teatro Comunale di Viterbo, ..Uscite D..Emergenza.. Teatro Comuna Baires Milano, ..Le Notti Bianche.. Ludere.., di sua composizione, riproposto sempre a Parigi all..interno della stagione concertistica della Chapelle Saint Bernard nello stesso Marzo, ed in Ottobre in quella dell..Eglise Saint Vincent De Paul.
Nel Luglio 2005 all..interno della rassegna Cantiere Musica 2005 .. stata eseguita dall'Ensemble Alessandro Ceccangeli in prima esecuzione assoluta su commissione, la Suite in Tre movimenti ..Febbraio.. di Alessandro Ceccangeli, per Pianoforte, due Violoncelli e Contrabbasso.
Il 4 e 5 Gennaio 2006 ha partecipato alla rassegna Any User Prima Edizione, presentando in prima esecuzione assoluta, il nuovo lavoro ..Moti (S)Composti per Quartetto.., dallo Studio Moti (S)Composti.

Il 24 giugno 2006 presso il Bonnie Bird Theatre del ..Laban.. di Londra replica il brano ..Dal Nulla.. per contrabbasso solo composto ed eseguito da Alessandro Ceccangeli.
Nel Luglio 2006 compone la musica per lo spot sulla raccolta differenziata nella regione Sicilia prodotto da Servizi Comunali Integrati e Unione Europea, diretto dal regista Massimo Amici.
Il 16 Settembre 2006 all..interno del festival Cantiere Musica IV Edizione viene eseguito in prima esecuzione assoluta, su commissione dell..Associazione Musica e Arte, il brano di Alessandro Ceccangeli ..Moti (S)Composti per Chitarra e Flauto.. tratto dallo studio Moti (S)Composti.
Nel 2008 compone la colonna sonora per il cortmetraggio del regista Massimo Amici dal titolo "il Diario".
Il 15 giugno 2008 viene invitato con il suo Métronome Ensemble al "RisonanzExpo Pescara Fiera Festival Linguaggi Sonori Contemporanei", vengono eseguiti Febbraio Suite In Tre Movimenti, Promenade, Moti (S)Composti; inoltre viene presentato il suo materiale audio e video durante i tre giorni della manifestazione organizzata da Kamerton, CIDIM e Amic.
L'11 gennaio 2009 è andato in scena lo spettacolo "Sunday Morning" in forma di performance presso il teatro Eliseo di Roma, all'interno della rassegna Drink'n art V edizione, con le musiche di Alessandro Ceccangeli eseguite dal vivo dal Métronome Ensemble e le elaborazioni elettroniche in prima assoluta di Alessandro Ceccangeli, che ha curato inoltre il montaggio video e audio delle video installazioni.

He starts as bassist and author of original tracks of a rock band in the 90..s Roman underground outline. In the same period he studies double-bass, at first at the ..Luisa D..Annunzio.. During this time he starts studing composition, at first by private lessons end than as an autodidact.
He play in various chamber and symphonic orchestras like First Double bass.
In 1997 he composed his first work for string quartet, called Silenziose Alchimie.
In 1998 three of his pieces for quartet (Scintille, Voci, Silenziose Alchimie) are performed at the contemporary music festival Azione e Visione at Teatro Talia in Rome and also at Palcoscenico Roma festival at Teatro Dei Servi in Rome.
In 1999 he starts collaborate with Idee di Velluto, contemporary dance company, directed by the choreograph Silvia Ceccangeli. He composes music for Contrabbassi, a performance performed in many italian theatres in which he is also double-bass soloist (Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence etc.)
Collaborating with Idee di Velluto Contemporary Dance Company he composes music for other performance: In Doppio Quartet, 2002, Teatro Greco, Teatro Libero and Enzimi in Rome; Leggère Amnesie, 2003 for Danza da bruciare, Pozzo degli Angeli in Rome and at Fiuggi Festival; Voltati, 2004 at Teatro Libero in Rome, Ipnotica Supposizione 2006 at Teatro Libero in Rome.
A characteristic of theese productions is the live execution of music, performed by Métronome Ensemble founded by Alessandro Ceccangeli in 2001.

David Byrne's sound instillation art project. a
sound installation in which the infrastructure, the physical plant of
the building, is converted into a giant musical instrument. Devices are
attached to the building structure, to the metal beams and pillars, the
heating pipes, the water pipes and are used to make these things
produce sound. The activations are of three types wind, vibration,
striking. The devices do not produce sound themselves, but they cause
the building elements to vibrate, resonate and oscillate so that the
building itself becomes a very large musical instrument.

In 1978 a mural was painted on the side of this building... and it
stayed that way until a few months ago when realtors decided they
wanted to rent the building. Daze and Roke, and Priest a few days ago
did the piece below showing the kid peeling off the paint to once again
reveal the mural underneath...
