We've known each other for four years and we've been sharing love and music for a year now. We'd like to believe it's gonna last forever... When we met, we both had eight years of performing behing; we'd gathered ideals and dissapointments, songs and memories to write about. We put our dreams in this simple name: ALEXANDRA & ALEC.
In 2008 we won the 3rd prize @ the "Battle Of Songs" contest with the track "Asculta-ma" (Listen to me).
In April 2009 we premiered the Marius Nedelcu / Alexandra & Alec Unplugged show, live on Apropo.ro. It was the first time a Romanian mainstream pop artist joined forces with an indie band to create a one-of-a-kind show for broad audiences.
In August 2009, we released our first official single, "La cafea" (Coffee Time), written by us and produced by Vali Rotari. The video premiered soon after on Apropo.ro; it was directed by Valentin "Bimus" Sturzu and highly appreciated by the online community.
Since October 2009, we are resident musicians at Violeta's Vintage Vintage (www.violeta.ro), Bucharest's favorite bistro. We're perfoming there every two Saturdays, starting 7.30 pm, in an intimate acoustic setting.
Alexandra & Alec means inspiration, professionalism, commitment. We fermly refuse lipsynching, performing covers and compromise. 100% live means 100% magic.
We are currently working on our debut album. Second single - coming January 2010!

Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch. Best, Faber. "Just a guy trying to make the world a better place."
