The Crazy Carls formed in late 2006 as an acoustic duo consisting of Alex Baugh and the one and only Crazy Carl. The two quickly established a presence in the local bars surrounding the University of Central Florida that had brought them together with a style that many have described as "surf rock at it's finest." However, the jamming guitar and smooth bass lines seemed to lend themselves best to this rock style and a drummer was needed. After a period of searching and an unfortunate turn of events that lead to Carls return home, Alex joined forces with Jerry Rodriguez on the drums and Mike Hulihan on the bass in a way that would immediately turn heads all over Florida and soon into Georgia. Frequently sharing the stage with national acts like The Supervillains, the Crazy Carls have drawn the attention of music lovers everywhere, who are currently in heated anticipation of their forthcoming EP set for release in the fall of 2009 under the title "Cafe Risque." While the future is rarely certain, it seems unlikely that The Crazy Carls have anywhere to go but up. This is definitely a band to watch.
