A.P.T. remembers writing his first song at the age of nine, but didn't truly pursue songwriting until years later when the shock of his friend Adam's death woke him up to his passion for music. Inspired to write, the songs came to Alex from every part of his life and his positive energy quickly attracted collaborators and fans alike. He recorded two full length solo albums (with Jamie Sherwood): "Stop Signs and Red Lights" in 2007 and "Don't Miss the Bus" in 2009. The momentum of 2009 was inspiring and that same year, Alex founded The Elastic Hoax, with whom he recorded the album "It Never Happened Anyway..." in 2010. Then, as the right mix of personality and talent came together, 2011 brought a new line-up to The Elastic Hoax and the creation of their latest album, "Turn On the Light". ***This page is a collection of the past 6 years of my songwriting. Spanning four different albums, each one has certainly marked points of growth and my continued evolution. Thank you to everyone that has been involved in creating these songs with me. You all hold a special place in my heart. -
