ALICATE- was founded in 1985 by Jonas Erixon (vocals,guitar) And Fredrik Ekberg (bass). There has been a few different drummers and keyboard players over the years. Glenn Ljungkvist joined on the keyboards in 1989, then the band released the vinyl single "The end/too shy to take it". The single is now a rare item and has been sold for much money at "swedish ebay" - (tradera). In 1993 the band did take a break, and worked on with other bands. The highlight over these years was the opening act slot for Ian Gillan band, and probably the lowest was a gig in Finland at the same time as guns n roses was in the same town, only 10 paying in the audience. In 2006 Jonas and Fredrik joined by Jesper Persson (drums) started to work on new material, wich resulted in the single "World of anger". Later that year Glenn joined the band again and they worked on material for an album. In 2008 they started to do some gigs and started the recording of the new album "World of anger" and it was released 2 october 2009 they also played at Sweden rock festival the same year.
