I was born in Queens, NY, and grew up in the suburbs, not quite the hood. I studied aerospace in school and am a licensed aircraft mechanic. I've worked on everything from Stealth fighters to DC-10s to private jets. Then they started drug testing; that's when I got into comedy. I've been described as the comic who combines intimidation and intelligence. I'd be more intimidating except thugs get shot and I don't have as many lives as Tupac. I've worked around the world for the USO, have been to the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the Aspen Comedy Festival, and have performed all across America. Film and TV wise, I've done some talk shows, Comedy Central, have played a security guard, bouncer, crook or cop on numerous shows and a couple of films, including "Bringing Down the House" starring Steve Martin and "The Girl Next Door." Now I'm a presidential assistant in "Scary Movie 4" with Leslie Nielsen. Of course my big credit is doing monster voices for "Power Rangers." No, I wasn't in the suit; I was just the voice. All this led to "Last Comic Standing" and a half-hour "Comedy Central Presents" special. By the way, I'm single, like jazz and of course long walks on the beach.
If you find cartoon versions of me amusing, you need to look at this.
PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE SUBMITTING A FRIEND REQUEST: Hey people, thanks for your friend request. Sorry if I can't get you added right away but I'm a little slow on the computer so it takes time to add the comment when I add you. You may not know this but I can't type. Hunting and pecking takes time. I'm also a little busy coming up with new jokes so you'll like me. Then there's computer access while traveling all the time. Take a look at the calendar; I'm probably in a security check right now. Thanks, keep laughing and I love ya. P.S. My account keeps losing friend requests. If it looks like I denied you, I didn't -- my account just lost the request. Give it a week or so; if I haven't added you, then send another request, and hopefully it will work.
there is a wannabEe comic trying out his new act as a new comedian and his entire show is about ME...... not cool, haha you got mail and ....I MISS YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes when i look around, all i see is misery, despair, frustration and pain...
Then, i close my eyes, take a couple deep breaths, RELAX...And ask myself, "WHAT IF all I saw was what I WANTED TO SEE?" Then, I open my eyes. I see the sun, I see the blue sky, I see my girls smiling back at me, I see life...
And then, lo and behold, I see nothing but OPPORTUNITY...
Thanks for reading. And if you enjoy these little sayings I send out, take a look at my site, http://TankJones.com and take a look at my blogs. You can also see a lot of pics of events I've done, music I've made and learn about my foundation.
