"The Altern80s" is a hommage to the history's most underestimated, experimental, disliked and at the same time dearly loved decade of music that made gloomy catchy; namely the 1980's!
Genres including new wave, synthpop, postpunk, new romantik, cold wave, italo disco, electronic body music, kraut-rock, neue deutsche welle and more, from famous as well as completely unknown artists and bands, from all over the world will be presented. The concept is targeted at people who 'just can't get enough' of catchy melodies, obscure lyrics, the occational one-hit wonder, unexpected epiphanies, nostalgic moments of humming and cheerful, analogue dancetunes i one and same night.
Both famous and unexpected (though highly professional) artists will function as exclusive guest DJ's at every event, spreading their own, individual interpretations of that specific music-revolutionary decade. So, in other words; if anti-chart- and hitlist-bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk, Front 242, Human League, Soft Cell, Camouflage, Simple Minds, Nitzer Ebb, The Killing Joke, Visage, Yazoo, DAF, Propaganda, Alphaville, Ultravox, Trans-X and Pet Shop Boys are something that makes your
heart tick...well, then this is something that most likely will make it explode!
There will also be a small 80's quiz at the beginning of every event, and with that a chance to win some great, thematically correct prices before the DJ's invade.
...So come and (re)experience the 1980's as you've never have before, and get all the music that today's discos definitely never play, that TV has replaced with bubble-butt filled r'n'b-videos from blingbling-Hell and that radio seemingly has forgotten that once dominated most of the media!

Insaisissable et iconoclaste. Tel est le parcours de Complot (feu Bronswick), formation aux idées larges et à géométrie très variable. Né à l'orée des années 80, ce groupe s'est employé depuis à travestir la new-wave, détrousser le rock, métamorphoser l'electro tout en s'ingéniant parfois à dépasser le cadre des concerts traditionnels pour imaginer des spectacles proches de la performance et du théâtre. De pistes brouillées en dédoublement d'identités, Complot reste l'un des acteurs les plus intrigants de la scène hexagonale, toujours capable de resurgir là où on l'attend le moins. Quatorze ans après leur dernière participation, Éric Trochu, Pierre Fablet, Yves-André Lefeuvre, et François Possémé sont donc de retour aux Trans Musicales, qui plus est dans une salle dont le nom pourrait servir à merveille leurs aspirations.
