Amanda Williams is one of the most talented and versatile songwriter artists in Nashville. Born in East Tennessee, her mountain heritage shines through in her earthy and often unorthodox approach to music making.
Whether she is crooning a country ballad or rocking out with her Gibson SG, Amanda's music is authentic, heartfelt and real. "Williams cuts through the surface layers with the precision of a surgeon and reveals the beating heart of a song." Her primary purpose is to connect with her audience and make them feel something. She says, "One thing that I learned about song writing is that if a song doesn't make you want to laugh, or dance or cry then it's not doing its job."
Amanda's accolades include performing at civil rights leader, Ambassador Andrew Young's 75th birthday celebration in Atlanta, GA with the likes of President Bill Clinton and Maya Angelou. The 2002 release of Beer Run, recorded by George Jones & Garth Brooks, was Grammy nominated as Best Vocal Collaboration. Her song, Unity Peace & Plenty was featured on the Peacedriven Songwriters Compilation CD. Amanda graduated with honors from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has written over 500 songs and has catalogues with Sony ATV, Magic Mustang, Category 5 & now ZMG.
Amanda is currently signed as a writer to Zavitson Music Group. She is in the process of recording her debut full length record with band, Mary Star Church, and is touring & filming for a new TV series called Stone Cold Reality.

In every change that you experience in life, there will be times when you'll wonder if you can endure. But you'll learn that facing each difficulty one by one isn't so hard. It's when you don't deal with a situation that it sometimes comes back to confront you again. Changes are sometimes very painful, but they teach us that we can endure and that we can become stronger. Everything that comes into your life has a purpose, but the outcome is in your hands by the action you take. Be wise with your life, be willing to endure, and always be willing to face life's challenges.
Thank you for your great music and for being my friend, I enjoy the music and hearing what you might have next too show me. I wish you great success in your career and again thanks for the friendship.
When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.
But, it too, seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.
And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed my self first, then by example I would have changed my family.
From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.

Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... sing & dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...
