I'm just killing time. I started composing rhymes as a joke with some friends who had turntables and madlib vinyls. It was almost 3 years ago, in Madrid. We had a funny name (Milkbreakers), but we never recorded anything.
Then I moved back home to Milano and it pissed me off I hadn't done anything with my rhymes, so I amateurishly produced some beats (cut'n'paste from non hh cds plus an old keyboard that tried to reproduce 100 different instruments w/o even being able to do one the right way). Speaking of amateurishly, I recorded the vocals and, above all, I mixed it. The result was lo-fi, to say the least.
Now I'm in Paris and I've got back recording and writing. That's all, guess I'm a wannabe noob.
Take two:
After breaking the mic line channel in my laptop and blaming it on the chinese mic my bro had given me for x-mas (totally untrue and sorta racist, too), I went to the well-known (mostly for strip clubs and prostitution, but also for home recording and musical instruments shops) neighbourhood of Pigalle and bought me a semi-serious mic and a cheap mixer, and now I can record (almost) properly.
In the last month I've been able to record a few tracks with my new devices, and the result is much better (well, it wasn't so hard to improve from the buzz prevailing sound I sported some time ago).
My 5 months in Paris are almost over, I'm headed back to Carnate in 7 days. Ah, I am still a wannabe noob (don't worry).

Third chapter:
After the last three months in Carnate, I can certainly say coming back was a mistake: haven't had much time to write or record, and considering I came back bcuz I thought I would have lots of time for my interests I would call it a failure (musically and personally, but the latter is none of anybody's business).
Anyways: I managed to get through the busiest months of my life and finally had a week to record and mix my stuff. Here it comes, "foldin' every other hand"

Chapter whatever from now on.
During the first half of 2008 me and Liverpool based producer Obleak have been working on a double grime EP. It features 2 sides (05/liverpool and 07/milan - guess why...) and 3 languages (english but also spanish and my first song in italian). why 2 sides? some of the beats and vocals have been used twice: once as I had conceived 'em and once as Obleak felt 'em fit when he took care of the pieces... besides the link for the free download on this page, I am willing to send out free physical copies to whoever cared enough to ask 'em (spread it, maybe)

"Scorched Earth Aesthetics" is my second full length album, it features songs that have been written and recorded during the last twelve months or so. the name is due to the common ground the lyrics have been built around. it was spontaneous, apart from the intro that was written when I had already detected the idea of the scorched earth aesthetics. what does it mean? well, consider how beautiful might it be to burn bridges and poison the well when pursuing a bigger ideal. the biggest ideal. and then consider what happens if the pursuit derails, vanishes, and you're left to observe the desert you've created. or something along those lines, innit. it features some great beats provided by fine fine artists (thanks y'all, btw) and amazing artwork by mike "iwillnothaveanythankyous" eatfish (thanks again bruv). same offer as above, here is the link for the free download but in case you were interested in one or more free physical copies let me know and I'll dish'em out

"Heal A Leviathan" is a recopilatory of songs that, lyrically, dwelve around the subject of recovery and, as the title says, healing. it actually goes back and forth and never gets there. it travels from unacceptance to resignation to distraction. distraction as the ultimate form of healing, as in "I'll find a real solution later". as some may notice I've started mc-ing in italian consistently, quite a few track in my native language in here. I kept the usual english and spanish raps, of course, since those are the rhymes I enjoy most writing. production... I've been provided with a load of beats from musicians I had not worked yet, together with some from other old generous friends that like to work with me (I could not explain how much I appreciate your work, really). quite a few tracks I produced myself, besides: I'm very proud of them, actually. the cover and artwork has been crafted by Thijs Vissia, whom I met in Amsterdam (thanks a lot Matteo!). I don't think I'll be this productive from now on, thanks to a full-time job that fills my day and tires me. the tradition goes on: free download here and free copies (shipping as well) to whoever takes the penance to say "I want one". a pre-emptive thank to those who will listen to it, especially in case of they comment on it
