Leading the southeast's rock revival into the 21st century, Ancient Harmony is a 4-piece powerhouse from Albany, GA. Tearing up the southeast with a muddy river of rock, funk, and jazz laced psychedelic grooves, their energy and technical prowess is creating waves and white crested, at that. They create cosmic peaks and funky valleys in music. It is a lyrical and harmonious cycle that parallels the earth's seasons: a celebration of life through the hot sweaty summers into the everchanging fall, through the dark harshness of a cold bleak winter, and a blossoming eruption of life through earth in spring's rebirth. It is natural born sonic evolution and its rock and roll. And just when you think the pinnacle is reached, the flames rise ever higher. Ancient Harmony have found swampy southern soul in the psychedelic cosmos above, ever expanding and contracting, a constant battlefield of tension and release. I wrote a song about Mike Littleton, featured 2nd in my myspace line-up of kik-ass tunes. It is about my memories of him, but also about the great tradgedy. God bless his family...may they soon be reunited.
