Andreas Busk is a Danish sound artist, teacher and musician.
Growing up in a musical environment, Andreas gained an understanding and love of a wide variety of musical styles at an early age.
The passion for music and sound blossomed in various ways, from his desire to play instruments and write music, to his studies of art philosophy and most importantly, his work with digital sound art.
As a teenager Andreas Busk made the first experiments with electronic music using an Amiga 600 computer. He was already then no stranger to the aestetics of alternative sounds, practising musical scales by singing them over the drone of his mo-ped while driving the countryside.
After completing various studies in music and art philosophy in Copenhagen, Andreas moved to Esbjerg, where he currently prepares his conservatory bachelor project in sound art under the guidance of sound artist Hans Sydow.
Based on philosopher Martin Heideggers notions on art, Andreas Busks goal is to compose pieces that can reveal and renew the world, thus making the perciever take a mental step back from everyday life and for a short while venture into a personal space of selfreflection.
