Andreia's soul and heart are hands tight with Portuguese Music and all "Lusofonias". Alongside the repertoire that she carefully selected to live presentations, Andreia is starting a new cycle composing original Portuguese Music, someting she never did before. With no name yet, this will become a non-traditional project based in tradicional music, with much daring too...
She invites those who identify with the traditional Portuguese music, to participate in one way or another!

She completed the Social/Cultural Entertainment course, where she had her first acting experience, with the Drama professors Maria Joao Fontainhas and Joao de Mello Alvim, director of the Theater Company in Sintra. In 2002, she took vocal technique lessons with Maria do Rosario Coelho, and with Francisco d' Orey, and is also teaching musical expression to children, since 2006.

Currently she is singing with CRAMOL, a huge polyphonic chorus of women.
In the repertoire there are several national songbook, careful choices of Giacometti / Lopes-Graça and José Alberto Sardinha, but also from other sources duly identified. They are songs of work, of celebration, and more.
A permanent search of ancient sounds, a group of women, in 1979, have decided to enjoy and develop, together, the females traditional singing, one of the richest heritage of portuguese tradicional music "a capella". Decussate in singing the sacred and the profane, the life cycle, the cycle of nature and the cycle religious, Cramol seeks to discover the essence of rural women in their daily lives.
The adventure began in a workshop at Oeiras, in the cultural association Oeirense Library Workers (1933). There, a group of young women decide to learn and find a corner of many primeval sounds. The presentations made public the urgent formation of an autonomous group and name. Thus was born the Cramol.

ARCO DA LUA Ensemble

Arco da Lua is a new Portuguese music ensemble that, 15 years ago and with other elements, was known as Arco da Velha. Today, after a break of fifteen years, and because of the singular songs, the project sprang anew.
Andreia is very happy with the invitation to join the group, here again, she rediscover her roots, and sings beautifull original songs, who are also played by traditional instruments.

THEATER VOICE PERFORMER

Andreia is working with the producer David Martins, lending her voice to his musical compositions, targeted for theater performances, such as "Memorial do Convento", "Memórias de Branca Dias" and now "Vieira - O Céu na Terra", a scene at the historical monument, Carmo Convent Ruins.
A new challenge that gives her ability to voice representation and experimentalism.

Written by Miguel Real and Filomena Oliveira (author recently covered with the Grand Prix Theatre SPA / Open Theatre), the piece celebrates a man who was distributed by many activities - was missionary, diplomat, politician, speaker, prophet, writer, nationalist - And, above all, understand the meaning of the word "tolerance".
Their travel as a diplomat, the persecutions of the Inquisition, the fight for the disadvantaged and defense, for Portugal, the advent of the Fifth Empire, are portrayed in the piece, whose action ends in 1656, the date of death of the guard of Vieira, D. João IV.

AMIGOS DO PEITO 2006

Amigos do Peito, is a concert for all ages, produced by Helena Percheiro, with musical arrangements by Paula Oliveira.
In January of 2006, the invitation to dress the roll of a singing doll arrives, thus conciliated the two areas: Singing and Acting.
One multimedia concert, mixing videoclips, drawings and enclosing several musical genres like: rock, jazz, reagge, hip-hop and tango.
The show wants to awake specialy children solidarity spirit, for such, music represents the diversity and the tolerance.

VOHA Project

Currently, she is also singing and creating with VOHA Project!
In 2007, Andreia started working with the musician/composer Lúcio Vieira, from Cape Verde, and the great producer, sound engeneer / composer / guitar player Luís Vicente Pereira.
VOHA has some portuguese lyrics writen by Andreia, and melodies too. A result of many influences, along with several artists colaborations, such as Cáu Paris our Jaime Vicente, gathering acoustic, etnic and electronic sounds.

ATLANTIC VOICES FESTIVAL 2007

Last August, Andreia represented the Azores in the Atlantic Voices Festival 2007 at Madeira. The song "Fragrâncias", written by Carlos Massa, born in Azores, finished the competition in first place, and also received the awards for best poem and best music.
Ten songs were competing, from Continental Portugal, Azores Islands, Canary Islands and Madeira Islands.
The festival counted with the winner from the previous year, Ricardo Soler.

GIRA MUNDOS

The children's musical "Gira-Mundos" tackles the theme of intercultural dialogue and its importance in an increasingly pluralistic society and provides us the challenge of building a society able to capitalize more and better cultural diversity.
This piece seeks to celebrate and publicize the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, raising children and adults for education and intercultural training, based on respect for the customs and traditions of different cultures.

SERENATA EM CENA 2002/2006

In 2000, by the age of twenty one, she started to sing professionally with a Portuguese-Brazilian vocal quartet Serenata em Cena, conducted by Pedro Moreno . Their repertoire started with romantic music such as New Bossa, and Chorinho.

Seven years later she was invited to be the female singer of a new project Serenarte for the media release promotion (live serenatas at Portuguese tv stations - RTP, SIC, SIC Mulher, TVI - and radio stations - ANTENA3, RCP, RR.
