Books
I love Kurt Vonnegut. I don't read books that often, I'm more of a magazine reader, but honestly one of my favorite books was a paperback I had to read for a psych class, called How to Think Straight About Psychology. It was all about Psychology and its desire to be taken seriously as a science, and what science really is. I find myself quoting it everyday. (Ex: "The Falsifiability Criterion is where it's at, BIATCH. Pass the Frito's please." A good textbook can go a long way. (<--- dork alert!)
About me: I love music--listening, going to shows, playing shows, writing, finding new bands, sharing good music. I love telling good stories. For me, life is only as good as the stories you can tell about it. I love anything and everything new. I get excited when I open up a new bottle of toothpaste, and I love being in airports because they symbolize travel and going new places, seeing new people, experiencing new things. I love figuring things out, understanding the "why's"--especially with people. That's probably why I love psychology so much. I'm more than comfortable doing nothing all day and all night, but I'm usually much busier than that. It's mostly because I'm a really laid back guy, and I have infinite patience. A good movie can transport me to another world really easily. A good book or magazine article can motivate me to educate the masses and save the world. A good conversation is hard to find but well worth the wait. I love to make people laugh, but I probably make myself laugh harder than anyone else. When i listen to people talk, i am constantly pretending whatever they are saying is a MadlLibs and I am filling in the rest of their sentences with ridiculous shit that only I think is funny. I'm really open minded and consider myself a creative guy. I want to make a mark on society, on the world, do great things for everyone around me and affect people beyond my lifetime. There's not much that doesn't interest me.

The Crash Society and For The Love Of Sloan (WBRU finalist) are playing a FREE show at The Beach House in Portsmouth, RI next Thursday 6/11/09. Just tell them at the door that you got the word us (TCS), music starts around 10pm. We will be in the studio working on our cd all year with just a handful of live shows, so hopefully you can make it down.
