Andrew is currently starring as DI Neil Manson in the ITV1 police drama ‘The Bill’ a role he has played since 2003.
An established TV and theatre actor, Andrew came to prominence with the role of Dr Andrew Collin in the groundbreaking and controversial BBC series ‘Cardiac Arrest.’ He followed this with roles in a number of TV dramas (see left) and more controversy in 'Soldier, Soldier,' 'Go Back Out,' and 'Queer as Folk.' He also starred in the feature film ‘Wide-Eyed and Legless’ alongside Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent as well as numerous theatre productions including national tours of ‘Antony and Cleopatra,’ and ‘Conduct Unbecoming,’ ‘Certain Young Men’ at the Almeida and ‘The Recruiting Officer’ at the Chichester Festival.
Alongside his role in 'The Bill' Andrew has written, produced and directed television and theatre, won ‘Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes’ and taken part in a celebrity edition of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ where he was playing for the charity Worldvision.
He continues to perform in concert and cabaret and runs his own production company. He is also a passionate supporter of Everton Football Club.
Andrew divides his time between homes in London and Liverpool where he lives with his wife Louise, his son Isaac and his dog Chester.
I liked THE BILL cast on CHILDREN IN NEED. Congratulations to you, Ben, Patrick, & John. But it was a shame that more of the cast didn't take part like last year !
Hey as ever just letting you know that I've just uploaded songs from 8 unsigned Liverpool Bands on the player - hope you and your friends come and give them a listen - cheers Tony
Oh dear, oh dear! No comments since April. Can't have that: "The Copper's" still working, despite the cut backs, and he's still a good actor.
I enjoy your character, Andrew, or the way you play him. He stirs differing emotions: that's good, in my books. Neil Manson's a believeable character. LOL! Wonder if he's related to the Malaig Mansons of fishing fleet and poaching fame. ;-)
A London/Scotland tie-up story could be most enjoyable. Hmmm, will mail you on that, at some point.

Hi Neil. I'm still loving the bill, but I now have a request. I also love Tony Stamp and have clicked on a couple of sites but they are a few years old and nobody answered. Also, I would love a site for the show " The Bill " so I could write to other fans. Love, hugs and kisses from your friend in Australia. Raye: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
