Andrew Tinker is pop/rock songwriter and musician from Denton, TX. Sometimes raw, sometimes refined, his songs reflect a broad range of pop genres and playing styles unified by Andrew’s standout vocals and the exceptional musicianship of his band.
In spring 2009, Andrew independently released his first full length album, It Takes the World, and assembled an outstanding configuration of musicians for live performances and future recordings. He is currently involved in establishing his presence in the north Texas region, as well as mounting a grassroots campaign to promote his new album.
Andrew, a native Texan, has performed and recorded with various local ensembles, and was a founding member of the Polyphonic Spree in 2000. He recorded french horn on the band’s first two albums, earning a UK silver record for The Beginning Stages of the Polyphonic Spree. He left the group in 2003 to attend the University of North Texas, graduating summa cum laude from the College of Music in December 2007. It was during his time at UNT that he met the musicians with whom he would eventually share the stage.
Andrew Tinker is proud to bring you one of the region's most entertaining and authentic music experiences, and hopes to keep in close contact with fans and promoters to continually expand into the worldwide music community.
Lotsa cool stuff has been going on since August. Most recently, I gave an in studio performance on Dallas' new public radio station, KXT. They'll be posting a video soon, you can check for it at www.kxt.org.
Thanks for dropping me a line, stay safe and we'll see you when you get back!

Love you Travis. Soon young padawan, you will be elevated to super fan status, and then a top friend spot will be within your reach! Keep the faith and I'll see you in Austin.
Great meeting you the other night at the Arlene's Show. Really dig your band's style and energy, (especially the track Nineteen). Keep up the good work!
Yo! Andrew! it was so FREAKIN awesome seeing you at R-Bar! BTW if you ever up to chillin and maybe jammin a bit you know where to find me. anyways i was wondering if you ever gave any of my tunes a listen? quality blows but fun stuff anyways lol. Tinker you take care man... only 2 months till i ship for basic training.
Picked up your CD at Jazz Fest and found even more awesome songs I now love.
You all have matured as a band; You seem more confident on stage, etc. Last year you were simply electrifying and full of energy, but it was probably an open question back then as to how far you would go. Now you play confidently and smoothly, you have a CD, and things are looking up.
Best wishes on your continued success, look forward to catching more of your performances in Little D...
Hey, looked for you guys on the NX35 play list...didn't see ya :( You guys were AWESOME at Denton Arts & Jazz 2008--played with so much heart, so much soul. It was a religious experience, and I'm an atheist! ;-)
