Cat Mantra, Terry Lee, & Kevin Mooney - ANTFEST 2007
ANTFEST 2007 was a groundbreaking event. THE biggest live ANTMUSIC show since the ants toured the world in the early eighties.
Hosted by MC Carty & former ANT Kevin Mooney, the best ANTMUSIC tribute acts in the world played alongside the amazing PUNK'D, and the ANT-inspired Happy Millionaire and, not to forget, MANTRA II. The band voiced by Cat Mantra, who's albums (released in the US & UK) have featured Marco Pirroni, Chris Constantinou, and prominently; Terry Lee Miall, (Now a permanent MANTRA member).
The ANTFEST tradition is set to continue and build on last years event.
And NOW, with ADAM ANT HIMSELF making his comeback to the public eye, and his pledge to make NEW ANTMUSIC, the excitement and momentum can only BUILD FURTHER! We have already signed up the PREMIER Ants tribute act for 2008. Along with the amazing "PUNK'D".
We have fixed the date of 30/08/08 and the venue has been chosen! We are currently deciding what other Ant/Punk influenced support acts we are going to have on the bill.

When you click on this page the first thing you hear is the MANTRA II CARTY MIX of "Man Called Marco". We are certain that most ANT fans realise this was originally released as an instrumental on the FRIEND OR FOE album.
Well... the story goes thus: In 2004 Cat Mantra of Mantra II was inspired to add lyrical melody to the track. He then sent it to Marco Pirroni to see what he thought of his work. Marco liked it and agreed that Mantra II could release it as part of their album "This is called Fantasy", which was released in the US in December 2004.
THEN, the ANT MIX MAESTRO, CARTY got to work on it, and produced the remix you hear today. THIS is the ANTHEM OF ANTFEST. We ARE stronger, and truthful, you see?

Johnny Normal is really looking forward to performing at AntFest 08. AntLib was a great event for us in 2007, and the Ant fans were so welcoming. Yes, we're Electro...but do give us a chance and we'll all have a wicked time! Mr Ant has been a massive inspiration to me over the years and I am honoured to be playing at this gig...in my home town too!
