Anthony Toner sounds like John Prine meeting James Taylor in a second hand bookshop. His heart-filled songs cover subjects as diverse as jilted lovers wracked by paranoia, disorientated spacemen and Ian Fleming’s links with Northern Ireland. He's currently touring to promote his brand new collection, The Duke of Oklahoma & Other Stories, which follows the success of his previous collection, A Sky For Every Day and the singles ‘Sailortown’ and ‘Marion, That’s All Right'. He has also composed for theatre and radio. He has also performed in Canada and the United States, sharing the stage in Nashville earlier this year with Nanci Griffith and Guy Clark.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

Hi Anthony, thanks for the invite. Crying already my eyes out - I'm so sorry but I can't make it. Was in Belfast in July ... and I'm living in Germany - so I think I can't make it till next year perhaps March. Have a hell of a launch - sell millions of cds.... and rock the crowd down. Cheers Elly
Hi Anthony Thank you so much for the invite to the launch - I'd love to be there, but I'm off to England for a few gigs on Thursday - rotten timing. Anyway, the best of luck with the new CD - have a great night at the launch. Fil xx
Dear Anthony - Thanks so much for the invite to the launch but will be giggin somewhere between Munich and Stuttgart at the time. Delighted that the greatest song I've heard for 5 years (the Duke of Oklahoma) will at last break free into the public domain. I'm setting a reminder for the Enniskillen gig on Nov 28th. If I make it there I'll beat down the back stage door to steal a thread from the shirt of the man who wrote such a song. You'll fly with this one.
With wishes for all the success in the world Donal

Thanks for the comments. "Marion thats all right" is one of the nicest songs I've heard in a long time. I also really like "What is love to you" especially the chorus. Cheers.
