After touring the US promoting their first release, a 5 song E.P. entitled "The Ending Swallows Us Whole," as the main supporting band for Haujobb on their 2007 US Tour, the band went back to work.
Anti-Mechanism took a year away from the stage in June of 2008 to complete and focus on writing their new and first full length album and will be returning live June 2009.
The band has been the featured headliner at a number of events in the northeast. The band has been frequently invited to play at major electronic events, supporting other artists such as Terrorfakt, Psyclon Nine, Razed In Black, Combichrist, Hanzel und Gretyl, Android Lust, The Birthday Massacre, Destroid, E-Craft, FGFC820, Aesthetic Perfection, Bile, and Interface.
Although, first and foremost, an experienced, live electronic band, Anti-Mechanism has also garnered attention from DJs that regularly spin Anti-Mechanism. The music has also been featured and played on numerous electronic-industrial radio programs, both online and FM stations.
Anti-Mechanism worked with renowned producer and engineer Xris Flam & recorded at Mindswerve Studios in NYC. The E.P was released independantly May 13th 2006, a year to the date of Anti-Mechanism's first live performance.
Anti-Mechanism returned to Mindswerve studios early 2008 and is currently recording a new TBA full length album that is due out 2009.
