The music on this cd, is my new way of branching out with a little funky, exotic, and jazzy dance CLUB flavor! Wallflower will take some of you back to the days when the clubs were full of people that didn't dance but loved to check out the ones that did. Finally, when you get a chance to dance with that special one...you forget to get their number...lol!
New single, IF I WERE A BUTTERFLY jazz (March 6, 2009), MYTHICAL (cd not released yet!)New single that supports Autism, IF I WERE A BUTTERFLY jazz (March 6, 2009), MYTHICAL (cd not released yet!)
Me and my brother, Aeric Smith (autistic) and I are working projects for Hands Across America through Anne Heider. Also, we have worked on a project for Laura Praxton that supports autism.
Below are three video's that have our single involved the specific projects as follows:
My 8th jazz cd, 5th Gear (released, Oct. 19, 2008):
1. Intro 2. Drifting In The Sky 3. 5th Gear 4. Born To Go Sideways 5. Illusions In The Road 6. The Last Call 7. On Your Mind 8. The Interlude To Night Hawk 9. Night Hawk 10. Child's Play (Featuring my brother, Rick)
"The Drifter" cd, I composed with the idea of drift cars in mind. I love drift car movies, videos, and more."Child's Play" was composed mainly by my brother, Rick. Since he is autistic, you can hear his peaceful and child-like personality in his song.
My 7th jazz album, PROJECT A (released, April 7, 2008):
1. The Family (Featuring my mom, Dr. Fuentes, and my brother, Rick)
2. Night Writer 3. Project A 4. Delicate Rose 5. Interlude Of The Last Steps 6. The Last Steps (Featuring my mom, Dr. Fuentes) 7. Mr. Dabbler 8. Whisper In The Ocean 9. Interlude To Streams Of Gold 10. Streams Of Gold 11. World Of Dreams (Featuring my brother, Rick) See Rick's page at - www.myspace.com/aericsmith
"The Family" is dedicated to my grandfather that loved making his family into musicians to have his own band. So, me and my family created this song in the memory of my grandfather because family meant so much to him. Some of you out there may come from a family of musicians also. So, this song is dedicated those families as well...I hope you like.(smile)
My 6th jazz album, ALL THAT JAZZ (released, Feb. 28, 2008):
1. Feel The Vibe 2. The Good Ol'Days 3. Interlude To The Theraputic Zone 4. The Theraputic Zone 5. All That Jazz 6. Love In A Rain Forest 7. Love At First Sight 8. What The Slop?! 9. A Little Stroll Down Ciel Avenue 10. Drifting Into The Sea (Featuring my brother, Rick)
"ALL THAT JAZZ," Here's my theory on, "What The Slop?!" If Stanley Clarke can make a song called, "Silly Putty," George Duke can make a song called, "Dukey Stick," and Funkadelics can make a song called, "Cosmic Slop" then I can make a song called, "What The Slop." Do you agree... (smile)
ALL THAT JAZZ is a flavor of old & new jazz coming together as contemporary music. ALL THAT JAZZ is my personal combination of the vibes, trumpet with soulful and expressive dabbling piano sounds in a form of "in the pocket" beats.
Earlier on, I had mentioned that I created and dedicated my song, "Feel The Vibe" to Roy Ayers. I like his style! I enjoy the vibes because it gives me the control of fluent sounds and the feel of a drummer making chords. Well, that's my take on this great instrument.
My 5th rock & alternative album, Shoulders & Arms (released, Jan. 25, 2008):
1. On The Move [Opening theme to "Shoulders & Arms"] 2. Akira Kobayashi 3. Karete Kobayashi 4. Shachi Kobayashi 5. Kene Adachi 6. Ryoichi Ikeda 7. Mizamuru Watanabe [Featuring Rick] 8. Gramps 9. To Be Continued [Ending theme to "Shoulders & Arms"]
"Shoulders & Arms," I created the CD music, cover, and all other illustrations for my own manga comic book. The book is released for purchase on Lulu.com or you can get it from my widget to the left of this page. ALSO YOU CAN VIEW A BRIEF STORYLINE OF SHOULDERS & ARMS BELOW!
My 4th jazz album, Don't Mess With My Creativity (released, Dec. 24, 2007):
1. Don't Mess With My Creativity 2. Rain On A Sunny Day 3. In My Arms/That Girl From My Dreams 4. Emotions 5. Mystical War 6. Dwedie (Piano chorus written by, my mom Dr. Fuentes),
dedicated to my grandfather, passed in 1998. 7. Mind In The Clouds 8. A Love Song 9. My NBA Dreams 10. The Road That Never Ends (Featuring my brother, Rick)
"Dwedie" was originally composed by my mom, Dr. Fuentes but needed to be finished and that's where I came in to make it into a song. "My NBA Dream" was composed for my dream besides music was to go to the NBA. I really love to play basketball as much as I love music.
This jazz CD brings my own style of the sweet sounds of love music and grooves into contemporary jazz.
My 3rd. album, My Little Christmas (released, Dec. 2, 2007):
1. Christmas Lights 2. Holiday Stories 3. Red Missletoes 4. Icycle Dreams 5. Sacred Snow 6. Trail of Snow Angels 7. Memories of Warm Hot Chocolate 8. As Christmas Fades 9. Sweet Dreams(Featuring my brother, Rick)
"My Little Christmas" is an album that have always wanted to create in my own little way. I hope that you are enjoying the CHRISTMAS surprise code that I created to celebrate the new album!
My second jazz album, 15 (released, Nov. 2, 2007):
1. Fade Away 2. Heart Ache 3. Waiting For Tomorrow 4. Anshin & Enkatsu 5. Take Off (Cont.) 6. Rush Hour 7. Chevelle SS 8. Mysterious Mission 9. Mirror Mirror 10. Back Up (Featuring my brother, Rick)
"Mysterious Mission" is a song that I created by thinking of marching band cadences (drumline) and their music. So, that's why you can hear the explosions in my song.
"Heart Ache," single off of 15:
"Heart Ache" was made when I thought about JENA 6 thinking that could have been me or my brother since we are so close to the age of all of them. So this song is dedicated to JENA 6!
My first jazz album, TWAN (released, Oct. 2, 2007):
1. Road Trip 2. Lost in Transition 3. Twan 4. Mr. Puin 5. Take Off 6. Cruise 7. To The Edge (Featuring my brother, Rick)
I love jazz (national & international), rap, r&b, contemporary rock, gospel, and much more. One of my favorite jazz artist is Brian Culbertson. His music has inspired me to make my own music.
I have created and arranged the songs that are copyrighted on all of my albums. Look out for more!
A Special SHOUT OUT goes out to:
Cleo Promotions, Inc., Mr. Crayton for his photography. My cousin, Jerry Jr. for his love and support for my music. My favorite auntie, Patricia Miles Ashford for her belief in me and my music, music lessons investment, words of wisdom, and positive constructive criticism. My uncle, Derrell Miles (Dee) for his love & support, and positive constructive criticism. My dad, Robert for his love & inherited multi-musical gifts. My friends & other family members. Myspace friends also. Mr. Larry A. Russell and his wife (TURN ON RECORDS & EROICA CLASSICAL RECORDINGS, INC.), for their promotions, and believing in my music. Blog Talk Radio, family of hosts for playing my music, spreading the news about my music, and their words of wisdom. My step-brother, Phillip for his support in my music. My Current Music Teacher, Dr. Sharon Brown Cheston for starting me out right in 2009! God for his love and guidance in allowing me to do this on my own.
I love to listen to all types of music...it could be from the states to the islands, or from the past to the present. I like it all!

We'll be hearing from them about ASAN's protest at Autism Speaks' DC area walk-a-thon Saturday as well as the growing wave of protests against Autism Speaks around the country, why its happening, where its going, what its implications and importance will be for the neurodiversity movement & the autistic community. In addition, we'll be checking in with ASAN on some of their advocacy priorities inside the beltway, asking about how Autistic people will be impacted by the health reform packages being considered by Congress and what pending legislation on school abuse might have to help Autistic students.
