A plus P was born in July of 2004 in a far away land called New York City. Alan Wilkis and Pete Kennedy, the band's only two members, first met and played together in The Witness Protection Program, a Boston-based progressive nerd-hop group. When the WPP disbanded, Alan and Pete were left hungry for more... of each other. So they started a new band.
A plus P is what the two were left with, only the finest rock guitar/drum duo this side of Pasadena, which is like most of the US of A (plus P). With a range of musical influences as diverse as snowflakes, they fuse elements of hard rock, blues, hipster-music, and lots of other stuff... plus raw energy... plus love... and bees...
"A whole bunch of awesome... Wailing guitars, hard beats and some straight up crooning that would make mama proud." - PAPERMAG
"The Grittiest Psychotic Blues Duo in New York City!" - BP Fallon, DEATH DISCO NYC
Hey A plus P! Come take a ride on a rocket ship with Alex Hirsch to the outer reaches of the cosmos. We can take the time to look around and find out all the great and magical things about Einstein and physics and the universe!
Imprasia plays Penguin at the Vic in Chicago in 1988. The dude taping it got button happy but hey, it was 1988 and those new fangled porto video units were a novelty. Bass: Peter Rochele, Guitar: Gully Weiss, Keys: Alex Hirsch and Drums: John Krug
Thanks for the kind comment. Sorry for the delay, but I've been putting the final touches on the debut record. It's up now on itunes and amazon (amiestreet, rhapsody, etc.) There are 2 sides: Sink and Fall. "Sink" is more pop and electronic; "Fall" is more punk and country. We appreciate all your support. Have a happy MWU year
I have a new blog and I invite you to come and read it
