In 2006, the adventure begins for APOCALYPSE NOW. The group brings out their first album CONFRONTATION WITH GOD on the label GSR Music. A true call to the blaspheme!
On this album the band shows their musical influences tinged of Thrash-Metal and New York Hardcore. The reactions are not waited and shows are linked with Infectious groove, Walls of Jericho, Backfire, Knuckledust and many others.... By these shows the band demonstrates the capacity to conquer the crowds and to seduce the most septic. With newfound fans and with a hard work ethic, the band found themselves to get at the forefront of the underground Metal and Hardcore scenes in France and with fans loyal to them around Europe their name and status rose to a new level.
It’s with this experience and the acquired maturity that APOCALYPSE NOW composes their second opus EMPIRES FALL. This release brings the return of the band in their roots; Hardcore! One can feel the influences of bands which have set the basis for this style of music, like, Biohazard, Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front, and on the other hand also the influence of Slayer’s Thrash-Metal…
EMPIRES FALL came out as a passionate, energetic anthem that will have heads banging and moshpits slamming from left to right and front to back. This album was made to be heard live and performed in big venues. Judging the record; that is what will come to APOCALYPSE NOW.
EMPIRES FALL also shows the vision which the band has of the world … Contemporary subjects are approached, as the changes in geopolitics, the limits of our economic system and also the secret wars …
Finally with this new album, APOCALYPSE NOW returns to what is the source of Thrash-Hardcore, its existence as against culture with a big touch of rock n roll.

"Empires Fall" is the much anticipated sophomore album from Paris’ Apocalypse Now and it doesn’t disappoint one bit. Still in the same vein as their debut GSR album "Confrontation With God", Apocalypse Now show a new maturity with their song writing that builds on their formula of bringing tight riffing and crushing intensity to new levels by incorporating killer hooks that don’t overdo it on the melody, but give just enough to bring more diversity to their sound, giving birth to a raging album that encapsulates the listener more and more with every listen. Apocalypse Now’s progression is clear and concise and "Empires fall" showcases that progression full on with every crushing hammer that is each song. Wearing their influences on their sleeves, yet still throwing in their own style, Apocalypse Now’s roots remain true to Thrash Metal and Metallic New York hardcore.
