Kenny Everett, Digital Hardcore Recordings, Suede, Melt Banana, Martini Henri Rifles, Dinosaur Jr, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Bearsuit, Group Sex by the Circle Jerks, or whatever Easy Listening classic Fidel found in the chairty shop, or stole from the airwaves that day.
Fidel's hero would probably be someone like Joe Meek, who's HAUNTED house/home studio at 304 holloway road he lived in for 8 months.
Applicants are the most famous and best bloodbeat / pop and roll / electro / punk / indie / chiphop / 8-bit / smashTV / splattcore band of all time!
With members cathching the bus from London, Singapore and Wolverhampton, their debut CD "Life in the Bus Lane" caused a sensation along with thier chaotic live shows - playing on bills with the Retro Spankees, Polysics, Sportsday Megaphone, Untitled Muscial Project, Napoleon IIIrd, Bearsuit and the $hit - amongst many others!
In 2009 the group were joined by Adam Boult on Drums. The group will be recording again in the Summer.
"A band so riotus, so punk rock and so endearing as to be impossible... In an alternative universe Applicants would be playing Wembley and Muse playing The Dublin Castle... The most startling thing about these songs is that despite their anarchic jollity, you could imagine any one of them played on Radio 1 - even in the daytime!"
ARTROCKER
"where Atari Teenage Riot battles with ‘Into The Groove’-era Madonna in a world-pulverising showdown, replete with space-age weaponry and the inevitable plot-twist ending to leave you reeling".
DROWNED IN SOUND
"The intercontinental Applicants... parallel universe popstars with a fondness for fake blood and liver-destroying quantities of booze, and that's just on the bus to the the gig. Bring your own serviettes - it's going to get messy".

Yeah I understand what you mean very well, we Japanese are demanded too much diligence instead of economic prosperity since little children.
I do not know If you were born in Japan you could not alive, because all humans have adjustability to the environments.
But the situation of schoolchildren is crazy in Japan indeed, and it is interesting that you are singing the problem in the English Pop-punk song. You have well talent !
I guess the time will be worth to wait, I 'm looking forward to the new album !!
I read Naomi's comment about school life in Japan just now. Yes , Naomi is right. When I was 9 to 12 years old,I also went to private school called "Jyuku " after elementary school was over , from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm every day . Perhaps all people in the world will ask " Why ?", and the answer is one. " To enter fine University ." Almost little kids are in the same situation still now. Educational system is crazy in Japan ......!!
I was too much tired in educational system at that time, A hee hee...
Lovely and funny school life in Japanese animations or dramas are just fictions.
twas a good un, we put on a show the night before at a converted church in Holloway, as Nshukugawa Boys were over form Japan for the weekend so we got them some gigs, they were way crazier on the saturday the guitarist marya(last seen slapping me as a thank you) jumped 5 metres off of a wall over the PA mid song AND didnt break any bones!
will get in touch if we have anything that would suit gigwise
all the best
