One of the hardest working independent bands in the world, Ventura, California’s Army of Freshmen have played over 1,000 shows in 10 countries and 42 states, released 3 full length records and in the process have built a devoted international fan base.
Known for their energetic and fun live shows, the 6 piece dual keyboard rockers much anticipated 4th record, "Above the Atmopshere", will be released in June of 2008 and will be available for purchase at www.ArmyofFreshmen.com , on iTunes and at all AOF shows. To support the release of the new record, in June AOF will embark on their first headline tour of the United Kingdom then return to the United States for tour dates in July and August.
Army of Freshmen spent the majority of 2007 on tour around the world supporting their last release, Under The Radar. The band played in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, France, England, Scotland and Wales last year and also performed a much heralded set at England’s , Download Festival , one of the largest rock fests in the world.
Army of Freshmen are also co founders (along with Bowling For Soup) of the annual GET HAPPY TOUR,a fan friendly, all ages package tour that just returned from a second sold out visit to the United Kingdom and Europe this past October. Along with founders, AOF and BFS the recent Get Happy tour featured The Bloodhound Gang and Zebrahead. AOF also appeared on the Get Happy Tour’s sold out showcase at the 2008 SXSW Festival in Austin this past March alongside BFS, Presidents of the Unites States of America, Wheatus and Ludo.
