i write about music at mallsandwaterfalls.blogspot.com
I am a singer-songwriter. I have recorded seven albums since 2007, all of which are freely downloadable below. Three of them are part of an ongoing series, Fifty Malls, in which I write about Sydney shopping centres. A lot of people don't think I'm going to get to 50. I doubt myself sometimes, but so far it hasn't been hard. People live their entire lives in malls, so as long as I can write about people I don't think there'll be a shortage of ideas.
Are malls little societies, or is society a big mall? How much pollution is involved in everything seemingly innocent that goes on in these places? What makes a mall any more or less "natural" than a jungle or a bird's nest? Is this the only way it could have been? I think about these things a lot, but I prefer to think about the more emotional side of things; our innocent upbringing within malls, a myriad of teenage social encounters with varying degrees of awkwardness, first dates, last dates, all the action of peak hour in a food court, all the kinds of people you serve in an average day working at Hungry Jacks (and how they treat you), and the smiles on babies' faces cooled by air conditioning. These thoughts are where the songs will come from; I believe there's hope and beauty in the mosaic of human nature. I don't know what we're in for, but we've got to have hope if we're going to stay sane. I'm pretty sure there's a happy ending. Feel free to contact me if you want to share a thought or story. Some new albums, mall and non-mall, will be out soon. --art

Good day, just letting you know there are 2 new tracks from my EP up on my page now! Head over and have a listen, leave some words if you feel that way inclined. See you at the launch. Sat 27th June @ Bar Me, Kings Cross -h.
Waringah Mall and Castle Towers. For something so on-the-cheap, it's done so well! Plus, that Chubby Blonde Boy song makes me think of Flight of the Conchords (in a good way, mind; just if you hate them)- and that line about part-time work? Magnifique!
I look forward to listening to more, and subsequently seeing you perform it at some stage.
Also, you wouldn't happen to know Albert Santos, would you?
