I love San Francisco, where I’ve lived on and off since 1993. Only recently, I’ve begun to entertain the notion of someday living a less urban existence, more... what? “country”? “pastoral”? I don’t know. I grew up in the suburbs, and moved to the city as soon as I could. Would I be bored somewhere else? Or would I thrive in such a different context, at such a slower pace?
In the meantime, as I entertain fantasies of the future, I’m also very invested in my current work. I love my home life, and I’m lucky to have wonderful friends. Few real complaints, I guess.
