I’m a professional freelance writer of comic books and short fiction in a variety of genres, an editor, art director, and reviewer.
Since 1990, I've written numerous independent comic books in a variety of genres, including Leonard Nimoy's Primortals, Bloodthirst, Nightmark, Shadow House, Kolchak Tales: Night Stalker of the Living Dead, Gravedigger: The Scavengers, and Femme Noir: The Dark City Diaries.
I've also authored a handful of published short stories (with more in the pipeline), and write a regular DVD review column for Forces of Geek.
My taste in entertainment clearly peaked when I was about 15, which certainly explains my embarrassing obsession with James Bond, hardboiled crime fiction, comic books, "Men's Adventure" paperbacks, space opera, Universal-Hammer-Toho Monsters, sword & sorcery sagas, old genre TV shows and vintage B-movies.

Nice to meet you, Christopher! Thanks for the add and welcome to Digital-CAPS, Comic Book Lettering by Jaymes Reed... that's me! Stop by and post anytime!
I read a book this week while on vacation you might be interested in for your Guns In The Gutters blog. It's called "A Killing In Comics" by Max Allan Collins. It's a noir-ish tale set in the late 40's world of comic books. Most of the main characters are not so thinly disguised copies of some of the big-wigs of the Golden Age. There're also illustrations by Terry Beatty at the beginning of each chapter. Fun stuff.
Hey, thanks for becoming part of my "friend" space! I'm looking to get more plugged in with creatives worldwide through this social network.
Loved those Moonstone books. It was great seeing them start and flourish. Don't apologize for liking the men's adventure stuff, Christopher, much of that '30s and '40s stuff was well written and way more thoughtful and literate than most of what passes for "adventure" today.
My Xeric grant winning book "Jazz: Cool Birth" is now in September's Previews for preorder at comic shops, a murder mystery in a 1957 jazz bar, with art and type based on '50s album cover design, dig? Bebop for your glims.
I'm looking forward to exploring the MySpace pages of all of my new "friends" (Man, does that sound square).
