A 15 track tribute to one of the most infulential bands of the 90's - Cable. Featuring: Tom Vek, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The League Of International Super Best Friends (members of Your Code Name Is: Milo and Bloc Party, Tellison, My Awesome Compilation, In Flight program, Dave House and many more....
Hello atributetocable we had a few complaints last week that we were using a MySpace program to send out our messages. So believe this when we say that you atributetocable are very important to us, just as important as the other 1000 people who are on my personal and the Exiles MySpace page. atributetocable you may think that you aren’t special to us but atributetocable Exiles (like Metallica) loves you.
So where atributetocable are you going to get your fix of awesome music this week because Exiles Birmingham’s Genre Straddling Rock Behemoth is just itching to give you atributetocable a dose of sticky Rock infection every Thursday leaving you atributetocable feeling dirty and molested. Speaking of molested Marshall made a flyer, thankfully so did Tim Ki Kydd who is partly responsible for our awesome website. Check it out at exilesbirmingham. co. uk

This Saturday I am stage managing at Project X and you have to look at some of the links below to believe how awesome this event is.
So atributetocable we have a wonderful plan for this Thursday night.
You definitely should go and see The Mirimar Disaster, I am Colossus, Slab and Mothertrucker at the Asylum ........and then you should pootle on down to Exiles and get all drunk with all the aforementioned bands as they will be coming out to play and celebrate being awesome altogether.
If you turn up with a ticket stub from the gig we will let you in for £2 where you can boogie on down to Rock music not normally heard in Shiny Brummingham.
Check out our website and see what awesomeness we’ve been playing.
Just a quick update as to what's coming up in the In Flight Program camp.
Upcoming Gigs:
1st June - Wolverhampton Planet
4th June - London Enterprise
9th June - Derby Vic Inn
Don't forget that the split 7" with Days Ago is released on 11th June in all good (and bad) record stores, and in digital format (available from most digital stores) on 10th June.
Fanny-tastic album All. I just lost my original 'down-lift the up-trodden' cd though - gutted. Luckily i've managed to find a vinyl version to replace it with. HOOORAH!
I fucking love cable, and couln't believe it when I found the tribute album in HMV on Boxing Day! I really need Down-lift the Up-Trodden on CD, I only have it on Mini-Disc - if anybody here can help I'd be very grateful!
I've just got my copy of Souvenir!!!
I never thought i'd be listening to another Cable album albeit a tribute one.
Well done to 'InFlight Program' & 'Swound!' for their most excellent contributions.
I hope it's not the last I here of this magnificent outfit. In fact my goal is to cover 'Hexigon Eye' or 'Electro Gazelle' for Souvenir 2 after you've funded it from the proceeds of the first album.
Oh yesss!!!!!
Right at last this gig is confirmed after weeks of venue problems the wonderful guys at Zoot have allowed us to commandeer one of their Friday nights at the Flapper and Firkin.
These Arms Are Snakes are receiving great reviews for their new album and so although the Flapper is small it will make this a hot and sweaty gig for a cold December night.
Also really proud to have Rolo Tomassi on this bill as they have been one of my favourite acts this year.
Will leave the band description stuff as A) I’m not very good at it and B) It would end up sounding ridiculous so go check out these bands for yourself.
WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE WE WANT CABLE, BACK!!!!!!!
Finally, some recognition for the mighty Cable. The most underrated band of the 90s, without doubt. Does anyone have any idea what the members of the band are up to these days? Did they do anything musical post-Cable?
