Atsphear was formed in 2001, and went through some changes of members until 2003.
The band members includes: Sergio Lara (guitar), Manuel Probanza (guitar), Rafael Fernández (voice), Carlos Delgado (Bass) and Víctor Hernández (drums);. The band began recording a demo they could use as an introduction to the public. The demo was called “Atmosphere X” and began to be recorded in September of 2003 in the Rock Soul studios of Madrid, where it was also masterized. Javier Rubio was the producer.
The final version of the demo was released in January of 2004. Atsphear introduced it to the public through some media, and distributed it during live shows and through Internet Web pages (www.atsphear.com). They received very good reviews. More than 1000 copies have been distributed through Spain, plus Internet downloads.
In July they were offered the chance to support the British band Cancer during their "Iberian Tour", and they accepted.
The recording of the album began in September of 2004 at “Korsakov Studies”, and was mixed during winter of 2005. The album contains 11 songs whose sounds were produced by Javier Rubio once again. The album has been on sale since May 17th of 2005 in Specialized Stores throughout Spain.
The band created an on-line shop for selling their albums and t-shirts.. Thanks to this service Atsphear’s merchandising has been sold in countries such as France, Holland, England, the USA and Australia.
This year they recorded a video clip of their first single: “Atmosphere X”, directed and edited by Carlos Delgado, with the support of Melez Art Works. This video can be downloaded for free from the web site www.atsphear.com.
The worldwide promotion of "New Line System" has relied very much on Internet, through sites like myspace (www.myspace.com/atsphearsite) and where they have established contacts with promoters, radios, webzines and magazines of the whole world, having the chance to work with some of them as Totalrock Radio and UnitedRock Radio (UK), Rebel Radio or Breaktrhu Radio (U.S.A.), Wicked Grin Radio (U.S.A.), Subway Radio (Germany), Resident Rock Star Promotions (E.E.U.U.).
On August 13th they featured at “Metal Cova Open Air Fest” in Barcelos (Portugal). They shared the stage with groups such as Oratory, Godiva or Pitch Black.
Also they´ve played with Baron Rojo, Saratoga, Lujuria and Ebony Ark at a festival in Madrid before more than 2000 people, and recently they featured at Festimad 2006 with bands such as Alice in Chains, Tool, Deftones or Soilwork.
Nowadays “New Line System”, including lyrics and concept art, is available completely free through www.atsphear.com.
May 2007 Juan Domínguez joins the band as singer. Actually they are working in the tunes which will feature in their new release.
Atsphear nace como grupo en el año 2001, y pasa por varias formaciones hasta llegar a la actual en 2003. Durante este tiempo, los componentes que permanecían en las distintas formaciones (Sergio, Manu, Víctor y Carlos) daban forma a los temas que se iban componiendo, evolucionando paulatinamente hacia un estilo personal a la vez que moderno.
Se llega a una formación estable en Mayo de 2003. Dicha formación está compuesta por: Sergio Lara (guitarra), Manuel Probanza (guitarra), Rafael Fernández (voz), Carlos Delgado (bajo) y Víctor Hernández (batería).
Encontrado una estabilidad en lo que a formación se refiere, la banda comienza la grabación de una maqueta para darse a conocer al público. La maqueta lleva por nombre “Atmosphere X” y comienza a grabarse en Septiembre de 2003 en los estudios Rock Soul de Madrid, donde también será masterizada. El productor de la maqueta es Javier Rubio.
Las labores de mezcla y masterización de la maqueta hacen que esta vea la luz en Enero de 2004. A partir de esta fecha, el grupo la presenta al público en varios medios, y la mueve en los conciertos y por medio de páginas de Internet (incluida la suya) recibiendo muy buenas críticas. Se calcula que se distribuyeron aproximadamente 1000 maquetas por toda España sin contar las descargas via Internet.
El resto del verano lo emplean en seguir distribuyendo la maqueta y dando conciertos. En Julio les ofrecen la oportunidad de telonear al grupo británico Cancer durante su gira por España, y aceptan.
La grabación del disco comienza en Septiembre de 2004 en “Korsakov Estudios”, y termina de mezclarse en invierno de 2005. El álbum contiene 11 temas cuyo sonido ha sido una vez más producido por Javier Rubio. El resultado es un disco de metal contemporáneo.
El sonido del disco, cuyo nombre es “New Line System”, esta cuidado al detalle, y opinan que el diseño del disco debe ir acorde a dicho sonido, por eso se ponen en contacto con “Melez Art Works”, que se encargarán del Concept Art del libreto, portada y contraportada del álbum.
El disco está a la venta desde el día 17 de Mayo de 2005 en Tiendas Tipo, Fnac, Media Markt y El Corte Inglés de toda España, y en las tiendas Sun Records y Arise Records.
Durante ese mismo año grabaron el videoclip de su primer single: “Atmosphere X”, dirigido y editado por Carlos Delgado, con la colaboración de Melez Art Works y Gonzalo Martín. Dicho video se puede descargar gratuitamente desde la web www.atsphear.com.
El 13 de Agosto participaron en el festival “Metal Cova” celebrado en la localidad de Barcelos en Portugal, compartiendo cartel con grupos como Oratory, Godiva o Pitch Black.
En Septiembre de 2005 actuaron junto a Barón Rojo, Saratoga, Lujuria y Ebony Ark en un Festival en Madrid ante más de 2000 personas. Más tarde en Noviembre del mismo año presentaron su disco “New Line System” en la madrileña sala “El Sol” junto a “Natural Born Stonehead” llenando todo el aforo.
En Mayo de 2006 actuaron en el Festimad Sur 2006 junto a bandas internacionales como Alice in Chains, Tool, Deftones o Soilwork. En Junio del mismo año Actuaron en la sala Ritmo y Compás junto a los grupos Thirteen Bleed Promise y One Last Word.
Desde Octubre de 2006 se puede descargar su disco junto con su libreto y artwork desde su web www.atsphear.com.
En Mayo de 2007 ocupa el puesto de vocalista Juan Domínguez. Actualmente se encuentran preparando el que será su nuevo trabajo.
