BIOGRAPHY
Los Angeles based DJs/Producers Carlo Astuti and Antonio Giacca decided to join their talents, musical taste and experiences on the global DJ circuit to create both uplifting and a more underground electronic music styles at the beginning of 2009.
They are a successful remix team and their name is now instantly recognizable among both the electro and the underground crowds and are known for their work with electronic music production, remixing and live performances.
As remixers Audio Impulsion has also produced under several nicknames for big artists such Maroon 5, Duffy and Geri King to name a few.
Individually, both DJs have previously played and performed in some of the best clubs in the world, including Ibiza, London, Rome, Copenhagen and Switzerland and played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the Techno and Electronic scene.
Together as Audio Impulsion, Carlo and Antonio are now taking their DJing to the next level by performing their music live, using real instruments rather than DJ equipment, in a very unique way that is quickly gaining them recognition from both fellow artists and clubbers from all around the world.
They are also the owners of the brand new techno label PETRAfied Records, launched in May 2009 to satisfy their taste for uplifting and high quality techno music and to give the opportunity to the many talented new artists they have met on the road to be heard and acknowledged.
PETRAfied aims to release dirty and upfront electronic music in different shades, anything between tech-house and techno with an edge that generates great response on the dancefloor.
Although still very new, the label is quickly picking up support among the major key players of the scene and has been tipped by many as the hottest new thing in the underground scene.
Audio Impulsion also hosts a daily radio show on the MyDeejaySpace radio, which attracts 1,000s of listeners worldwide who love their productions and live performances.
THE HISTORY
February 2009-DJ's Carlo and Antonio are introduced by a well known LA techno promoter and decide to join their talents and musical taste to start producing and performing live under the name Audio Impulsion
March 2009 - PETRAfied Records is born. Techno artist duo Audio Impulsion, after an exciting live set performance that was ended with one too many drinks, decide to launch their very own label to give space to the many young and talented techno artists out there... Including themselves! ;-)
April 2009 - PETRAfied Records honchos Carlo and Antonio are happy to announce their new label, to be signed as a division of Khepera Records, under Universal Music and distributed by InGrooves!
May 2009 - First official release of PETRAfied Records is announced. It will be a 3 tracks E.P. including techno monsters "Povidone", "Relics" and "Thunp" by label owners Audio Impulsion. The E.P. will include 2 big room techno tracks plus a more minimal and hypnotic track for the "purists". All the tracks from PETRAfied first release were already played by some major techno artists at the WMC 2009, creating a dancefloor pandemonium! Release date is confirmed for June, 2nd and we are really excited to see the response of the clubbers from every corner of the world after so much support from big DJs and many techno lovers on Audio Impulsion's YouTube channel.
June 2009: Antonio and Carlo are signed by Khepera Records, a label under the Universal Music group to produce and remix electro house tracks. For this style of music, which is slightly different from the more underground and big room club oriented style that Audio impulsion has been known for, they have decided to use the alter-ego Giacca Astuti.
The first 3 productions under the name Giacca Astuti that have been signed are 2 electro pumped up original tracks by the name of Boogie Dancer (Featuring Julie Dawson at the vocals) and Rock Your Body.
Their first official remix for an Universal artist, the remix of Geri King's Running Away, is also due for official release on June the 2nd, whilst other remixes they have been commissioned of Maroon 5 and Duffy are expected to be out later on during the summer and they have all the potentials to become Ibiza 2009 summer themes.
