*** New CD out! ***

Audio Lotion stands for delight. Each one of their four album releases had the press plunder their hitherto carefully locked treasure chest of superlatives : "The perfect lounge sound", "Music as essential for your daily needs as eating and drinking", "Indispensible for body and soul". Music that sweeps up a wave of adjectives from the journalist's heart: "refreshing", "pleasurable", "relaxing", "sensual", or even "sexy". And as the icing on the cake, almost as if to be knighted, the music of Audio Lotion made its entry into the queen of all life style TV series: "Sex and the City". After last year's album "Metrosensual", the new release "The Finer Essence" draws on the first three albums of the Zurich-based duo, two of which have never been released outside of Switzerland. First, there is their 1999 debut "Advanced Skin Care", a sensual blend of Drum'n'Bass, Ambient, Jazz, Downbeat and elements from classical music. On its cover, the debut showed a stylish container of beauty creme. 2001 saw the follow-up "Your Sonic Beauty Case", still an exclusive Swiss release, before their third album "¡adelante!" finally put Audio Lotion on the map internationally, so much so that the producers of "Sex and the City" choose three songs from this album to be played in three episodes of the cult series. Shortly after coming out in Switzerland, "¡adelante!" was internationally re-released by Mole Listening Pearls using a different cover and a slightly different composition of songs. Audio Lotion's first three albums their "Swiss period", as it were are now presented on "The Finer Essence". Twenty-seven tracks, including exclusive songs from the original Swiss version of "¡adelante!" that have not yet made an international appearance. Music that has already earned its place in the lounge universe. "Music as essential for your daily needs as eating and drinking", as the journalists say.

Audio Lotion hit the music scene in 1999 with their debut album "advanced skin care", a sensual blend of mellow drum'n'bass, ambient, jazzy downbeat and elements from classic and latin music. 2001 saw the release of the follow-up album "your sonic beauty case", which continued the trend of relaxed and groovy lounge music. Band name and album titles suggest the concept behind the art: audio lotion is wellness for mind and body, it's your daily beauty treatment applied to your ears, and soothing your soul. At the same time, track titles such as "a ravishing supermodel's early morning noises", "vanessa is introduced to the temple of rejuvenation" or "jacuzzi jazz" reveal audio lotion's love for the tongue-in-cheek play with words from the world of beauty, fashion and cosmetics.

In the 2003 album "¡adelante!", audio lotion lived out their secret love for latin music, presenting a pure, authentic mix of easy yet touching bossa nova grooves, jazzy instrumentals, and catchy vocal tunes, amply featuring the enchanting voice of singer Noreen. The album was remarkable for uniting an uplifting feel-good atmosphere with emotional profundity. No wonder it caught the attention of German-based record label "Mole Listening Pearls" which re-released the album in a different guise in the whole of Europe. But that was only the beginning of the expansion of audio lotion's domain of influence: 3 tracks from "¡adelante!" were chosen for season 6 of the world-famous TV series Sex and the City (details below).

Audio Lotion's new album "metrosensual" (2005) is their richest musical work so far. It takes the listener on a journey around the globe, from occident to orient, from the sultry passions of Brasil to the shimmering cold of Antarctica, from the mysteriously seductive rhythms of India to the electronic beats of western urban melting-pots. And again, all this comes with a touch of winking irony, as e.g. when the dutiful indian servant exclaims to his master in pre-hysteric excitement that he's never seen a dead cobra in a first-class cabin.

Audio Lotion are abu (*1975) and aleph (*1968) from Switzerland's metropole Zurich. The duo has been involved in creating electronic landscapes for over 15 years, 6 years of which in the common project audio lotion. Abu earns his living as a psychiatrist, while aleph is a neurobiologist currently working as a research assistant, and with a strong interest in the philosophy of mind and consciousness. Both work in Zurich's venerable University Hospital of Psychiatry "Burghoelzli", where many of the founding fathers of modern psychiatry resided, e.g. Eugen Bleuler and C.G. Jung.

Audio Lotion's vocal muse and faithful companion has been singer Noreen (*1979), who has contributed her lovely voice and composing/writing skills to various tracks since the second album. She sings in the tradition of bossa nova stars such as Astrud and Bebel Gilberto. After being a student of law for 2 years, Noreen has discovered her love for history and archaeology.

Audio Lotion was discovered by renowned Swiss DJ and producer Minus 8 (www.minus8.de), who is the mind behind the critically acclaimed "Science Fiction Jazz" compilation series. Audio Lotion are signed to Germany's label Mole Listening Pearls (www.mole.de).
Audio Lotion is also available on iTunes Music Store

But i'm also not settling, if that's what you meant... he has this depth and intensity that i always looked for in a man-and never found. And it's real, true love. And even if it doesn't last for a long time in its physical form... it's fine. The thought alone of experiencing it is more than enough for me.

Hmm, to tell you the truth, my sister said the same thing. And considering just how i feel about religion and all that crap it's really interesting how i'm willing to accept that here's a guy that i'm in love with that feels quite the opposite about these things than i do. I wouldn't say he's more or just in love with Jesus (haha..), only he has developed this "relationship with god" when he was totally depressed and down-makes sense, ha?:) Also - he's a friend. And if like attracts like... probably on some level he feels that what i feel about this religion shit is really bullshit, otherwise he wouldn't be here... and neither would i. As far as losing him...i'm not preocupied with that. If there's one thing i learned is this - people worry too much. I stopped that a long time ago. I'm not forcing anyone to be here-it's their choice and they can leave when they want and so can i-and i'll be fine. That doesn't mean i don't feel profound things, far from it. Only-the minute i realise how deep i feel...i just let it go. Because you never know what life will bring. It's better and more fulfilling to be with someone in a place with no worry or nagging or too much philosophy or "this is how i think you should think"...no no no. It's just me-as i am, it's just him, as he is. I totally accept it. You see, if someone is about to change their stand-point or outlook on life-they're gonna change it themselves... no matter how much you tell them that THIS is the total truth and the right way... won't work. So i just live my life and think how i think and if he wants to shed some of the old thoughts and beliefs that limit him-it's fine, we'll go a long way together...but if not-than that's his choice and i can always move on. You can take things the easy, positive way, or the negative, hard way with fear and fighting... i'm not into that. But i'm also not settli
