Biography:
Aurora Forrest is an experimental black metal band from Charlotte, North Carolina. After a two year history involving constant member rotations, a change in the band name, and a choppy rehearsal demo, Aurora Forrest dropped it’s original melodic death metal/ folk ambient and developed it’s own take on black metal and avant garde music. Currently working on it’s first full-length album, Requiem For The Living, Aurora Forrest has stretched it’s style from industrial black metal, neoclassical ambiance, shoegaze, and atmospheric death metal while keeping the same common ground that links each song with the band’s overall lyrical concept. Each song chronicles a piece in the story of a rogue vampiress who desires revenge against her fellow brethren. The main idea is to convey the emotions felt by the characters to more universal topics of love, desire, hate, mysticism, and misanthropy. Requiem For The Living is slated to be released 6/3/08 on Nox Noctis Productions followed shortly by the release of the band's first split with Echoes Of Silence, which has been kept under wraps until most recently.

Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
