  • Music

    I can listen to pretty much everything. I love music- have since I was a kid. I played trumpet from the sixth grade all the way through my second year of college, so that taught me to appreciate music in a deeper way. I definitely prefer rock over anything else, but I also like orchestral music at night when I'm going to bed. Some of my favorite bands: Skillet, Third Day, Disturbed, Creed, Alter Bridge, LifeHouse, Linkin Park, Shinedown's first Cd, Stevie Ray Vaughn ( I know I spelled that wrong), Kenny Wayne Shepard, Selective Matchbox 20, Nickelback, Korn, Bon Jovi, etc. As you can see, it's pretty much all over the place.

  • Movies

    Huge movie buff. Right now I have a personal collection of well over 300 movies, and that list grows constantly. Like music, I love movies of all sorts and genres. Being a (wannabe) writer, the storytelling aspect of movies is a big draw for me, and I'd love to write movies scripts at some point in my hopeful career. I'm definitely a nerd at heart though so most of my favorites are comic book, sci-fi or fantasy.

  • Television

    Supernatural and Chuck are my two favorite shows at the moment. I also love Smallville, The Mentalist, True Blood, Dexter, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Sons of Anarchy, The Clone Wars, Stargate Atlantis, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Survivorman, & Ghost Hunters.

  • Books

    When I read, I usually read for my personal enjoyment to relax. Plus it's an act of study, so I generally read the kinds of things that I write, so that means a ton of sci-fi and fantasy stuff. At the moment Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files is my favorite series. I devour a Dresden book the day I get it. The Gentleman Bastard books by Scott Lynch are something a friend turned me onto recently and they are excellently written. The Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert and the Myth Series by Robert Asprin were huge influences on me as a kid. Of course, I'd have to turn in my nerd membership if I didn't mention LotR. I used to like Star Wars novels before they went to crap and became more about quantity than quality, though the comics by Dark Horse are excellent. Speaking of- huge comic fan. Hope to write them one day. I follow most of the major titles from both DC and Marvel, as well as Invincible by Image Comics, the SW comics from Dark Horse, and the Dresden comics by dabble bros.

God. I know that's pretty cliche but in this case it's true. I'd like to be able to actually talk to God like I could talk to you, and have a normal conversation where I could ask questions and finally get straight answers to stuff rather than trying to figure out what He wants like I'm looking at some kind of cosmic mood ring.
