Automated Acoustics is the one-man-band of Lawrence Gill. I've been playing & recording music since I was 8, on my little Casio keyboard (do you smell cheese?). I now work & play with Mbira, Steelpan, Cello (bowed & plucked like a mini double bass), Autoharp, Violin, Guitar, Organ, Synthesizers, Drums, Percussion, Bass, Piano, Beatbox, 808, 909, Vocals.

I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix. USA IS A MONSTER sono un gruppo che ha fatto dell’etica Do It Yourself la propria ragione di vita, che ha scelto l’approccio punk quale modalità di iniziazione al suono, che è passato dall’hard rock esoterico in salsa Black Sabbath al free jazz di John Coltrane senza battere ciglio e che è infinitamente innamorato del prog rock. The Usa Is A Monster incidono per la Load Rec. (Lighting Bolt, Noxagt, Sightings…) etichetta che si candida al ruolo di Skin Graft degli anni 2000, ma rientrano nel versante più classicamente rock della produzione della label di Providence, almeno nella strumentazione. Chitarra e batteria, qualche occasionale synth, il tutto suonato con la grazia di un cavernicolo. La proposta del duo resta però sempre all’interno dei canoni stilistici dell’etichetta: schizofrenia strumentale, vocalizzi pomp-rock, scale che si rincorrono in vortici allucinogeni, ascensioni melodiche da psycho-free-folk malato in una alternanza tra pezzi molto lunghi e brevi schizzi. Deflagrazioni strumentali: come se i Soft Machine fossero impegnati in una demoniaca jam session con i No Means No! In poche parole una band che spacca, e si raccontano cose favolose dei loro live act. Quindi, come sempre, il consiglio è di non mancare questo appuntamento!!!

This includes remixes of our own tracks as well as tracks by Messiah J and the Expert and Cars in Walls. Half of the remixes are by us while the rest have been handled by Philth and Seki, Nina Hynes, and Klass of '83. Each track has its own unique artwork included in the download.
