Hailing from Sacramento, CA, AUTOMATIC RIVAL is a driving alternative rock band that you will not soon forget. Simply put, their music is loud, very melodic, sometimes fast, and always fun. Fronted by David Wallace (vocals/guitar), this foursome delivers a gripping sound that is truly unique in todays world of parody. Wallace's edgy vocals and catchy guitar riffs are supported by the solid foundation of Tony Pacheco (guitar/vocals), Nathan Shields (bass/vocals), and Jeff Kwiatek (drums). And though by definition AUTOMATIC RIVAL is a relatively new band, Wallace and Shields have been writing songs together for more than eight years. The group was rounded out in April of 2005 with the addition of Kwiatek, and the line-up recently expanded to include Pacheco. The band completed their first full-length album in February of 2006. The 12-song CD is available for purchase at all live shows, by mail order (send us a message!), for purchase on iTunes, or simply by clicking the album cover below!!!
We have recently completed our new 4-song E.P. entitled "Lies and Stories" which can be heard here on MySpace. Come out to a live show to find out how you can get a free copy of our new CD!!!

"Each day is a new canvas to paint upon. Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness, and at the end of the day you don't look at it and wish you had painted something different."

"My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?" -Bob Hope
