Sounds Like
"...this is the sound
of a band either reinventing electro-pop for a new generation or mutilating it within an inch of
its life..."
Rock Sound
"Autons impress with the brilliant Snakes - watch them go big!"
Radio One’s One Music
"Autons are fantastic, leftfield fun and have more Beat than the Ramones Brat."
Drowned in Sound
"Snakes is a work of fucking genius! Like loads of my favourite punk records rolled into one."
Mojo Magazine and Record Collectors former editor Pat Gilbert
"Like Hot Chip, Autons are an irritatingly infectious band to be enjoyed over and over and over again."
God Is In The TV Zine
"Autons have a very punky sound that is mixed with techno beats and the result is absolutely fantastic. 10/10"
Joe 90, Repeat Fanzine
"The trio combines the snotty punk melodies and ear-splitting guitar riffs with electronic dance beats!"
Amplifier Magazine
"It’s a good thing that this electro-punk gem is blessed with a guitar riff to die for, because once it sinks its fangs into you there’s no antidote to its poison... A killer, and no mistake."
Vanity Project
"Snakes, a nod to Nerves by the SaharaHotnights, thumps with the insistence of disco while retaining the grittiness of 60’s garage rock.....Autons are infectious."
Autons second single, Election Singer, will be released May 19th on R*E*P*E*A*T Records/Zip Records. Cat No. MBRR129

Autons debut album was officially released on Monday 4th June 2007 on Zip Records (USA) and Repeat Records (UK).. Entitled Short Term Manifesto it contains 10 tracks and was recorded by Rich Tamblyn of The Old Blacksmith Studios.
It features the single Snakes - the song which came runner-up in the 2006 Festive Fifty was played extensively by Radio One's Rob da Bank and Steve Lemacq
In 2007 Autons had the honour of being the 1st ever band to be featured in session on the Peel-inspired Dandelion Radio, which is a fully-licensed Internet station that is run and presented by volunteers recording monthly shows.
Autons appear on the Sparks tribute album Rainbow Over The Freeway, an astonishing collection of songs written by Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks and performed by various artists. It was produced with the kind permission of the brothers and all proceeds go directly to the Rainbow Trust.

I hope the specials in 09 and series 5 continue on with the brilliantness of series 3. This series is too...silly. Its almost as silly as Time and the Rani. I still watch. I am not that disgusted at it. Its just a shame its gone a little childish.
I was walkin down the street Concentratin on truckin right I heard a dark voice beside of me And I looked round in a state of fright I saw four faces one mad A brother from the gutter They looked me up and down a bit And turned to each other I say I dont like cricket oh no I love it I dont like cricket oh no I love it
i wrote a lovely poem for the autons, but unfortunately lost it in my drawer, and i couldnt be bothered to write a new one, so i apologise if this is very poor.
i am really looking forward to the friday, and intend on having a little dance, and once again a thank you to the autons, for letting me play & giving me a chance,
i can remember the first night with steve at southsea pier. that was fun, although we thought we were going to get shot and got chased by a VERY angry scotty dog.
and ive sent the flyers to shaun and tony. tony should get them if he clears his inbox.
um....what happend to The devil in me? the original sounded quite threatening tbh, but the intro on this sounds really busy.why did it get remixed?
election singer is pretty cool tho. it sounds a lot punkier then any of your other stuff, and thats a good thing :) so...is the cymbols in the background a hint at a future drummer?
