Bio
.. ............Myspace Layouts.. - ..Myspace Editor.. - ..Hot Comments.. - ..Image Hosting.... Avagami was formed in Chicago in 2005 by Matt Espy (drums, electronics, see: Atombombpocketknife, The Reputation) and Eric Lebofsky (vocals, saxophone, electronics, see: unusual drawings) when the two met through Craigslist. Both were looking to push the pop envelope, and incorporate improvisational techniques into a song structure. Their music incorporates elements of Prog, New Wave, Noise, and Krautrock, as well as Burlesque, Lounge, and Psychotherapy (Gestalt.) .... Fucking weird indie electro pop that somehow works, real nice. --www.Smother.net .... “Their album is an absurd delight, like a Super Soaker filled with Cool Whip.” : Critic's Choice - Chicago Reader -

This summer Iamprimate and photographer Diana Scheunemann are undertaking a 2 month tour as part of a series of annual creative projects. The resulting output will be presented in a photographic book, a New York gallery exhibition, and an art film. Scenes for the film will be shot en route throughout the tour. Iamprimate will perform a handful of dates, including one at Chicago's Elbo Room on September 12. To support these shows 100m Records is releasing the Iamprimate EP, Believe Never Question.

OUT NOW!
PRESS REACTIONS
"Nebulous post-industrial soundscapes constantly tweaked and realigned to create one of the most original electronic records of the year to date. 4.5/5" - THE MILK FACTORY
"Literally one in a million; tweaking and meshing uncommon sounds to create one of the most original electronic pieces I have heard all year. Abstract art for the ears most certainly." - AW MUSIC
"A post-glitch triumph that goes by quickly but not without making one’s head spin." - CYCLIC DEFROST
"Murky Circuits sounds like a highly caffeinated robot took over a decrepit Radio Shack and had its way with anything it could grab." - CHUBBY JONES
"Dizzying and compelling." - BRAINWASHED
