AVATAR, this millennium’s biggest hope in metal are currently embarking on far off corners of Sweden, Europe and the world, supporting their latest masterpiece, ’Schlacht’ (Gain 2007). Both that and their debut ‘Thoughts of no Tomorrow’ (Gain 2006) has made it very well on the Swedish charts. ‘Thoughts…’ peaked at no. 3 on the chart for hard rock/metal and ‘Schlacht’ even reached a top 25 spot in the mainstream charts, kicking bubblegum pop’s ass all around!
To this date, their early carrier has contained three European tours, one major Scandinavian with In Flames and very important festival appearances in Sweden, all with great success! The band also got invited to participate in the very prestigious SXSW-festival in Austin, Texas. This is something most artists need to apply for, but Avatar was asked to play!
Avatar has supported greats in the business, such as Megadeth, Stone Sour, Obituary, Hardcore Superstar, Evergrey and already mentioned In Flames to name a few. The latter’s guitar player Björn Gelotte has also contributed with a solo on a track for the album ‘Schlacht’.

TJA AVATAR!!! Fan ni ägde sönder idag på METALTOWN. Sicken jävla överaskning, ni fattar inte hur jävla glad jag blev. Man kutade så fort man kunde för att komma längst fram. Ni va lätt det bästa bandet idag. As bra spelat det gjorde min dag.
