"Well we made it home from tour. Throwing a fit across the USA was a lot of fun and we made a lot of friends on the road. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows, gave us a place to stay, and bought us drinks and food! Keep in touch and hopefully we'll be seeing you all again soon.
As far as recent news goes, we've got another tour in the works for early January with The Backseat Lovers! We'll be playing shows up and down the west coast in support of our new 7" split with Let's Dance. Pick one up at our shows or order it online here. We're looking forward to hitting the highway again and can't wait to see some of you this winter!"
I saw Avenue Rose last summer out here in Boston and fell in love with the band. They all seemed to having a blast on stage especially Travis who looked super cool in his leather and lime green shades. My condolances to his family, friends, bandmates........If you want a link to view some pictures I took please send me an e-mail at elaw@fifieldfabrics.com.
Hey Brothers, I just heard the news. My love and support goes out to you guys. A sweetheart like Travis won't be forgotten. Too bad I'm overseas still, otherwise I'd be there to have some beers for our fallen brother. Take care, much love and big hugs. Please look after his lovely lady as well, and make sure she's alright. Take care guys, big hugs XOXOXO
I want to fucking burst open with sadness. I am so sad right now. Travis was such a good person, he had amazing instincts and never knew a bad B Movie. We talked about The Monster Squad and The Garbage Pale Kids. We did endless e-mails in 2005/2006 about this stuff, and the last time I saw him in 2008 when we played with Avenue Rose at The Scene it reminded me of how great I thought he was not only as a person, but as a player. He will be missed greatly, and for a person that I knew but was not extremely close to, his death has me choked up because he was that good of a person to know. You have my condolences, seriously. I am so sorry to those who never met him. he was awesome.
I'm so sorry about the pain you must be feeling in your hearts right now. We, the Creeps, were looking forward to seeing your fallen soldier this friday. I was already planing a good breakfast. We will have it anyway in memory of Travis. This is a good reminder to all of us how delicate our rock and roll bodies are. Be safe and remember that he is still with each chord you play!
Not sure why this had to happen to such a rad guy... I'm still in disbelief and shocked by all this news. I never got to know Travis as well as I should of. But we did borrow each other's gear a lot and toured in a van together. Every time he asked to borrow my guitar I would always say Of course you can! I mean really how could you say no to such a "cool" guy! Travis is definitely going to be well missed. My heart goes out to EVERYONE who was touched by this gentle soul.
we're deeply saddened by this news...Travis was a great guy and we had a great time meeting and playing with you last year @ The Wild Weekend. it's too bad we didn't get the chance to do it more...our sympathies go out to all of Travis' family and friends-he'll be missed.
I'm so lucky to have been able to hang out with trav a week before this all happened. I would hate that all i had of him was a somewhat distant memory.
I'm sorry you didnt see the bats fly in austin, trav. or that you couldnt be the uncle you wanted, i know you were excited. My couch has looked empty since you left last week. I'm so happy you got to see europe. I'll keep your tour journal for you. I miss you so much already, i cant believe this happened. i never would have let you do that. You have so many people who care for you and look out for you, its a tragedy you didnt let them in that night.
Im soo furtunate that u guys toured with backseat lovers in jan! THANK u Guys so much for comming with us! Its hard to believe that was the last time we'd spend with Trav! Everynight with u guys was awesome!!! I loved him alot, we'd spend saturday nights on myspace...just talking bout how bored we we're...and text each other stupid shit, and share the stage everytime we we're up north! he's def in my heart, and He wont be forgotten! Thank u so much for comming with us! It was a good time in our lives to all be togather and playing music everynight togather.
I had known Travis since we were kids, in elementary school with the awful rat tails and braces and what have you. We kept in touch a little here and there since we left high school and he was always such a great guy. This was such awful news. I'm so terribly sorry for those close to him. And I wish I kept in closer contact with him than I did. He was a good person and it's sad to lose someone like him.
You'll be missed, Travis. Your life was way too short and you had so much left to offer. My heart goes out to everyone who knew you.
My heart is broken. Trav was a sweetheart. This is just not right. We will miss Trav greatly. Nobody looked better in a biker jacket than Trav. Nobody. Not even Johnny Ramone. I'm glad I got to tell him that. I can't believe that I won't be hanging with him in April. This is devastating. Eddie, Jason and Dill-our thoughts and hearts are with you. We love you Trav. -Kevin
Why do people have to die? Why must lives end so young?
I've been thinking since I got the text yesterday morning saying a friend died last night. Travis graduated with my brother (Kris Hannum) from Adna. They were best friends from like the second grade all the way through graduation. I would always go out to Trav's house with my brother and became good friends with Brad. We went out there literally every weekend when we were younger. I have so many memories from that house and the woods surrounding it. Trav was like a big brother to me growing up. He was even the first person I ever cursed at. lol We were out in the woods and him and my bro were really making me mad so I freaked out on them. haha There has to be hours on top of hours of home videos that we made out there. We would pretend to have talk shows and record it then take breaks and make face commercials. We even made a whole movie out there one time. I remember always going into Trav's room and him getting mad at me. I remember when we broke one of the windows upstairs because we were playing baseball outside and the ball just happened to hit it. I remember jumping on the tramp and hanging out in the tree house. I remember making forts in the woods. I remember always hanging out in the upstairs of the garage. We would always play game. I remember playin magic the gathering and trading cards with him (Trav was so cool he even had it on the playstation). I remember the time that we had a bb gun war and I shot my brother and we all were freaked out and ran inside and Nate had to deal with things. So many memories out there. I would always go into sight & sound to talk to Trav about nothing and always made him pick out a cd for me to buy. I'm gonna miss him.
Travis died on tour doing what he loved. R.I.P Trav you're like a brother.
My prayers go out to you guys, the Criscolas and everyone who knew Trav. He truly was a great person.
i only had a few words with him when you guys played a show down here, but he seemed to be a really down-to-earth, great guy, my utmost respect to him.
