Aviary Ghost arose from bourbon, watching trains, and cabin fever. Without grand aspirations, Charlie Crimando and Stephen Kemsley began to record music in a one-room apartment during a particularly long Michigan winter. Three years later, Aviary Ghost emerged from its wintry confines with a lush and complex album that is fit for anything, whether it's driving, singing along, cooking, showering, buckdancing, remembering the good old days, or consorting with inner demons.
Memory is a Hallway was released in 2008. As is evident in the title, each song takes a perspective on memory and how it relates to the present and one's identity. The duo regularly plays energetic, eclectic live shows and is recording new material for their sophomore album. You can download Memory is a Hallway on or buy the physical CD via CD Baby.
