Avoid - Pure melodic and thrashing metal!
Formed by guitarist Jokke Ponette, drummer Domien Huyghe and bassist Jan Bogaert
Avoid really began to develop their true potential once new guitarist Nick David joined
the fold late 2005.

And yes, Avoid finally found what they were looking for.
Composing song after song, the foursome felt an upwards evolution in each track they've
created.After some live performances, Avoid already founded a small fan base.
One of the main reasons the band decided to record a demo.

Time to hit the studio! Allthough it was a two days trip to the studio, the new avoid demo,
Forest Of Sorrow unlocked many doors for the band. After velorock, Avoid signed a one year contract
with Rotten to the Core to record a mini-album, containing 7 tracks, at Midas Studios late 2006

The release was followed by a number of shows and their good live reputation gave them an increasingly bigger name in
the Belgian metalscene. But the band knew that it would take a lot more to really leave their footprint.

Shortly after releasing their mini CD, avoid was already working hard on writing new songs.
The band exploited their creative possibilities and their main objective was to take their music to a new level.

The album title sums up the ten tracks nicely. The lyrics deal with universal and everyday
problems like grief, deceit, etc... Music wise, the songs on this album are a lot more vareid and Avoid now succeeds
to create their own sound.
