"Sugar Crash Damage is possibly the 13th Syphilis Sauna album. Syphilis Sauna aka Patrick Urn was part of the original Backwards Records krew since its inception in the late 90's in Denver. Upon relocation to Seattle in 2004 he started up Backwards Records NW. As creator of the HARSH Baby-Grabber(tm) and PM of the HARSH Ministry of Propaganda, here Urn built a reputation of sardony, public outrage and scabs.
He booked many people's first shows as well as bringing touring acts to our bleak city while spearheading Cross-Pollination, HARSH, and the active THREAT series. Having also helped along No Tomorrow's stint on Capital Hill and numerous other venues, Urn oversaw more shows than I can count...having booked diverse acts on a single bill he watched with glee as ravers grimaced at Noise, noise-beards fled from Chiptune, and 8-bit fans rolled their eyes at the Breakcore maniacs. His other projects include Herpes Hideaway and AIDS Alleyway; he was a member of the supergroups Zdefekt & Chlamydia Crawlspace. The disc does focus on more noise than dance seeing it ride through sample ridden, industrial noise to flow into more minimalistic and ambient atmospheres throughout.
