MICHAEL ENGUITA (GUIDO)-(vocals, guitar), sips on his whiskey neat, has a vivid, imaginative style that is portrayed in the unusal faces he makes. He has a hard head (literally)and ends his night w/ a simple sugar dipped teaspoon of Jim Beam.
PAT SHANNON (drums, vocals) whiskey to him is like air to lungs, has a bandana collection that would thread your mind, his drum sticks are made of cougar claws and people wait in line to just to get a scent of his oura.
STEVE JACKSON (bass, vocals) his love for poetry and Transformers has made him a gentle, metal-shredding, Budweiser-pounding bass ripper that can run faster than a barracuda in a black 'Rancid' t.
RYAN FRAHM (lead guitar) BC's newest member, w/ straight 'rock n roll' and 'blues' influences he fits BC like a glove who runs raw lead scales.

Welcome to the Backyard Cohort myspace website.
Michael Enguita (lead vocal, guitar). Pat Shannon (drums, vocals),
Steve Jackson (bass, vocals), and Ryan Frahm (lead guitar) are
Backyard Cohort. Born in the south side suburbs of Chicago, BC has
been playing their brand of acoustic jam rock at fine pubs and
historic venues since 2005. Backyard Cohort turns heads with their
distinguished looks, big personalities, and a collective propensity to
blow fans minds!
Backyard Cohort first came together shortly after founding member and
front man, Michael Enguita, started playing a weekly gig at a pub in
Orland Park, IL. After inviting Pat and Steve to join him, it became
clear that a band was coming together. This residency lasted for two
and a half years, giving the guys time to gel as a band and write
original material. It was not long before fans started to request the
tracks “Bridge,” “New Shoes,” “Fallacy,” and “Mr. Baker.”
Michael Enguita is an engaging front man with a passion for music and
the rare ability to win over the crowd. Pat Shannon’s playful
demeanor, magnetic energy, and skillful drumming make him the beating
heart of the band. Steve Jackson completes the rhythm section with his
ardent musicianship while contributing his lively stage presence to
every performance. The sonic fury produced by the lead guitar of Ryan
Frahm is a highlight of every Backyard Cohort show and has revitalized
a stalwart of the Chicago music scene.
Take a look around and don't hurt your self!

alright, so people always say happy hump day for Wednesdays. I think its just as strange to say happy Uphill on Tuesdays, or happy Downhill on Thursdays, but i've never ever seen or heard anyone wish that. -Brandon
