SWDC R4R Logo Photobucket ROYALTIES FOR REGIONS ROCK! Brendon Grylls, Minister for Regional Development swapped a $63,484 grant cheque under the scheme against a B@M T-Shirt in mid July 2009, so we can sound proof our Boiler Room band rehearsal facility and our musos can really crank it. He's a really cool dude, too, and loves to see regional youth getting new opportunities. We're really grateful to our friends at Lotterywest, here at B@M, because they gave us a fat, juicy grant for more than $22K of new amplification and stage lighting equipment. It doesn't end there, our parent organisation also received a $8K A3 colour photocopier for glorious posters and flyers. Visiting bands will in future only need to bring talent, axes, picks and sticks - and will be playing in a storm of colour. The Office for Crime Prevention recently weighed in with a $5000 grant for two concerts run in 2008, plus two gigs in 2009. Discos for younger punters are also backed by this grant and are now a popular event in town. You should see those youngsters rock out! Manjimup Local Drug Action Group secured two $3000 STRIVE grants for B@M to keep concerts coming. Thanks, Heather and keep on rockin'! Also a big hand for our friends at WAM, who just gave us a $13,000 Rammpaage grant. Concerts and a festival are now funded until mid 2009. It doesn't stop there: West Australian Music Industry Association's Nigel Bird is doing a sterling job supporting us in his role as Regional Coordinator. He arranged the biggest regional event in the 2009 WAMi Festival for B@M and has tracked down some really big names as tutors for our Youth Musicians' Workshops in May 09. Thanks WAM! Also a big thanks goes out to the Office for Youth for funding the YouMuWos 09 with a $5000 Youth Sponsorship Grant. Rammpaage logo So far we have hosted: Silent City Frequency (twice), Insane Noise Ensemble, Electrostatik (six times), The Stratz, Ramshackle, No Remorse (three times), Christinarose, Enkounter, Brock Crombie-Wilson (twice), Greg Butcher, Opposite Enz, The Bigness, An Evening at Elmwood, Bright Lights & City Fires, This End Up, Ashoka (four times), Mark&Patrick, Laced Affair, Elora Danan (twice), Calerway, Abbe May, Sneaky Weasel Gang, Desert Radio, Fireside, Minute 36, We Are The Emergency, Elleker Hall, Amplify9 ..

our name is of greetings and goodbyes
we can make a video tomorrow night for you if you want?
and does it have to be of our original?
still working on the lyrics for that one, but covers should give you an idea of what we're like
we'd have 2 guitars, 3 vocals, 2 kicks, 3 toms, a bass, snare and hi hats. plus 2 over heads.
i think that's too many if we can only have 14 channels, pretty sure that's 15 mics
could maybe abolish one vocal mic
  • Nov 8 2009 2:44 AM

    hypothetically speaking
if we make it onto the bill
would there be one or 2 kick drum mics available on the 11th?
if it's only one we'll have to bring an extra if you can work that into the mix some how
  • Nov 8 2009 2:43 AM

    practice sessions are in bunbury
but we could perhaps send a video of one?
    or something of the sort
haven't had chance to record a demo as of yet.
  • Nov 8 2009 2:43 AM

Hi B @ M!  Thanks for the kind comment. Kudos to you also!
