the neumes are a mostly very young female band playing some unusual self-penned material on a variety of instruments. With a unique fusion of pop, jazz, folk and rock, sisters Charlotte, Emily and Eleanor, who front the five-piece outfit, show a maturity well beyond their years. the neumes have cross-generational appeal that has led to many gigs mainly in the north of England. They have also appeared at festivals such as beverley folk festival, midsummer music madness and snaithfest. Additionally, the neumes have appeared on bbc radio humberside, were interviewed by john peel for bbc radio 4 as well as appearing in a bbc charity event at the hull truck theatre.
