TURNED TO ASHES was founded 2007. Over the years the band developed an unique style of brutal modern metal. The wide range of the band’s influences must be blamed for this crazy musical bastard. From old school stuff like Slayer, Sepultura, Korn and Machine Head to newer bands like Hatebreed, Lamb Of God, As I Lay Dying or Parkway Drive…It’s all in the mix. Just listen to the demos on myspace which were recorded in different sessions at the Gates Of Dawn Studio. Feel the pure energy and the massive groove of live-rehearsal tracks like “Kill the Witch”! TURNED TO ASHES is well known for intense live shows. They make no prisoners! Many headlining shows in the local scene opened the door for a gig with SODOM and a SEPULTURA support show this year in Koblenz/Germany. The feedback of the metalheads was impressive. TURNED TO ASHES really stood their ground supporting this legendary metal band. After going through some line-up changes, TURNED TO ASHES is now stronger than ever and ready to spread their own style without remorse. Actually the band is working on a couple of completely self-recorded new songs which will be released in early 2011. The musicians are really excited about that new shit, because it will show TURNED TO ASHES as a grown unit: the typical raw mid-tempo grooves will crush with the furious metal aspects and the non-conform songwriting. On the one hand you will be confronted with more catchy melodies and on the other hand with more devastating insane inhale shouts…so stay tuned for this assault next year!
