MacVandal's jolly critique on Baracuda's "Knucklebone" album...

My overall feeling after listening the first time, is that this is a well-produced album with a mainly sombre feeling punctuated with a purely positive reggae spin-off and a hidden track that is exciting -and my fav track of the album.
The song after "We Off the Hook"and the following songs stand out.
The song with Modulok also stood out. The taste of the instrumentals seem a little dark and jazz-bluesy with mentionable cuts and samples.
Track 12 is a nice little audible montage of samples on a stimulating instrumental, accentuated with the feeling of a fish finally free.
Next listenings...
1) Fish Guts is a great intro song, with a dj-induced mantra.
2) Blueprints for Disaster -Talk of socialist rule and self-assurance riddled with plaguish metaphorical exodus and a general intro to the album. "Little lad, taste starbuck-Disney-rap-passions, money-make the masses? Actions ass-backwards..."

3) Trap Purpose is a rather short-and-to-the-point introspective track, mentioning media terrorizm and ending with the message, "...Don't play no hero."

4) Most Dangerous:  a warning track establishing Baracuda's self-assurance of his position in the rap game.  "TV rap selling your kids corporate sex..."  
This is a bouncy song with an accompanied hopeful feeling lyric and a nice dj cut. The song features artists Galac and Astral Black.  The accompanying guests and their styles contrast well with Baracuda's style and message.

5) Half Blinted is an egyptian style beat with a retrospective rap, encircling Baracuda's continuous struggle  with his art through the global tyranny approaching 2012 with its ancient predictions

6) Off the Hook, an upbeat tune about hiphop, life and finding complacency in music, which features Noah 23

7) Architect Wet -In this song, I found my fav line... "Fools rush in where wise men attend funerals." It's a cool latin-inspired beat with some deep lyrical emphasis on permanency and the human kind's self-assurance with it.

8) Pecan Dirty Rice... Baracuda talks about hiphop's idioms and memetrics, outlining some popular misconceptions in rap society.

9) Rendezvous Night Out is a track whereBaracuda and Moduloc team up to smash an anthem-style beat; lashing out at "fake-thugs" and promoting a higher state of consciousness.

10) Out the Ashes -Baracuda gets introspective on his love for music and his history with her. His trials and his tribunal victories, and his strive to keep on moving forward.

11)Togetherness -the most positive song on the album, with a near-plead to the
hiphop realm to be "one" without segregation and perhaps irrational judgement...? Listen in!

12) Another slow, reflective anthem about trying to live in harmony amidst the negativity he sees in the canadian social structure.  Livestock ads a few words at the end, lending a positive word to complete the tune.

13) An outro similar to the intro, tying the album together, and ending with what seems like the release of a recently caught fish back into its watery environment.  The "hidden" track afterward is a hype banger with deep message and imagery similar yet more scattered and fun than most if his album.
