We hold on most Fridays (see listings) an 'Open mic' for songwriters, solo artists & bands and invite people from the music industry to come down and watch. These include, venue promoters, agents, music video directors, photographers and radio presenters. We provide P.A. and FULL backline and we highly recommend this night for musicians looking to get some where in the music industry. Each act can play a maximum of 3 songs in a 15 minute slot. PROMO VIDEOS at BASE STUDIOS:
Our inhouse film makers/editorsDirectors are at the moment offering bands and solo artists who come to open mic nights on Fridays FREE BASE promo videos for their band or their solo careers. Artists and acts that turn up at 7pm sharp will be offered the opportunity to be filmed during their open mic set or offered a possible interview and promo package. Example below (bring your friends down too as it sounds better on the video if you've a crowd!). Oh and the bar opens at 7pm too so there's plenty for your mates to do while they hang around.
STOURBRIDGE NEWS at BASE:
The News Group in Stourbridge is teaming up with Base studios for a groundbreaking new project called The Base Sessions, which will feature video and interviews from unsigned artists and established acts recorded exclusively for online readers. Regular articles, including video footage recorded at the Base, will provide an exclusive look at bands performing live at The Base for online readers of local papers across the Black Country and beyond. The Base Sessions is a unique collaboration between the Base, whose website already broadcasts live internet gigs to a worldwide audience, and the Stourbridge News which is part of a Midlands media group whose websites attract hundreds of thousands of hits each month. For details of gigs which will feature in The Base Sessions check regularly in the Stourbridge News print version or visit www.stourbridgenews.co.uk The Base Sessions will be going live on Thursday August 13.
