About Banshee And Something Else We Can’t Remember
We are not one of those who are doing the goal to get more friends than any other band or person. Actually we do think that is meaningless and ridiculous.
That is not our goal as a band.
We are a very working band, we put our lifes in this, we actually do what we love.
Sometimes we message people we think that can be interested in our music as being a independent band internet it's the only way to promote ourselves.
We do have friends requests by bands/people and we do feel honored and we hope those people can take the time to check out our music, what we do, who we are and what we believe in and not as the purpose of having more "friends" on their spaces.
So if you are reading this you are probably not that kind of person and we do thank you very much for checking us out! Hope you enjoy it and we can have a message or comment.

Finally the so long waited debut album is out!
Banshee And Something Else We Can’t Remember as released their first album called “This Place Is a Zoo” by Raging Planet Records only available yet on Portuguese stores but by order Worldwide.
Made of 10 tracks (and a bonus track so make it 11) that you can easily ear with their sweat melodies, joy, cohesion and maturity.
This is an album that in the genre or outside of it is excellent and extremely contagious and melodic with out losing their funny and serious personality that already distinguishes Banshee and Something Else WeCan’t Remember.
The debut album “This Place Is a Zoo” is a well thought work but with never losing their moments of spontaneity showing a pure and ambitious band.
During two long years with many affords this work was done in The Garage Studio in Almada/Charneca Da Caparica – Portugal, Black sheep Studios in Lisbon – Portugal always with the help of the producer and co-producer and friends Francisco Santos and Ricardo Barreto. In the Oxide Shed Coolville Ridge, Ohio – USA the album was mixed by the legendary Eddie Ashworth (Sublime, Long Beach Dub All Stars, Pennywise, Etc.) and in Blasting Room Studios, Colorado – USA mastered by the Bill Stevenson And Jason Livermore Nofx, Less Than Jake, MxPx, Kemuri, Mustard Plugs, Comeback Kid, Rise Against, Ataris, Good Ridance Etc.)
The 2004 E.P. “Drunk, Broke But Happy” was the starting point to the band get to be known in many corners of the world that made the band tour outside and in Portugal with numberless shows with known bands and sometimes being their selves the promising band.
Participations on international and national compilations with their songs and videos was continual and they had a strong attention by the internet musical media specially outside borders and even being considered the best international on 2004.

Oi pessoal... As "Sementes da Desordem" estão em contagem decrescente para a propagação oficial.
Estamos a chegar ao fim de mais um ano e a época natalicia vai promovendo o capitalismo e o consumismo, pelo menos para os que vão podendo. Altura de lavar consciencias e de "ajudar o proximo"... E é no ambito do espirito de natal que os Ervas Daninhas irão ter durante todo o mês de Dezembro e até ao fim do ano mais um tema que faz parte do EP que está para sair brevemente, o tema tem por titulo "Escravo do Prazer" e apela ao prazer, ao sexo e ao amor. Explodão de prazer e façam-se viver!!
Aproveitamos também para deixar agradecimentos especiais a todos os que nos têm ajudado e apoiado neste e noutros anos. Agradecimentos ainda ao Paulão (Decreto 77) que gravou, produziu e foi o 6º elemento da banda no EP - "Sementes da Desordem"; João (Decreto 77) pela grande participação no tema "Guitarras de Guerra"; ao Arroja e ao Igor no "filme" criado para o tema "Bar da GNR". Desejos a todos de um próximo ano melhor, mais justo, mais feliz e com muita atitude.

Viva! Dia 21.11.2009 iremos organizar o nosso evento de estreia no Revolver Bar em Cacilhas que contará com a actuação de: Fantasy Opus + Shivan + Gárgula + Utopia.
Comé maltinha, prontos para mais um tema do nosso 1º EP "SEMENTES DA DESORDEM"?
Já podem escutar o revisitado tema "BAR DA GNR", tema nº 2 do EP e que precede às "GUITARRAS DE GUERRA". Este tema já com alguns anitos lavou a cara e foi gravado no inicio de 2009 com novos arranjos, mantendo no entanto todo o carisma que vez dele um dos hinos dos ERVAS DANINHAS. Durante 20 dias, mais ou menos, vão poder entrar no "BAR DA GNR" e buer uma cervejola e morfar uma entremeada e até mesmo apanhar uma carraspana sem ficarem de cana... Dêm gás no volume e acordem os vizinhos... pelo menos aqueles que dormem a sesta ao Domingo à tarde. O "BAR DA GNR" contou com a presença de dois convidados muito especiais, foram eles o Igor e o Arroja dos SHIVERS, que por entre copos de binho e assaltos à sacristia ainda tiveram tempo para uma ida à Sela... ops, desculpem o erro... uma ida à cela.
