Californian (USA) born Rocq-E (pronounced Rocky) sang backing vocals for some of the
greatest Soul legends in the world; Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder just to
name a few. With Diana Ross, she toured the world for many years, until she settled
in Europe in the 90's. In the Netherlands she recorded her first solo CD and she performed
in many theatre productions. She was one of the principle artists in "Female
Factory", "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." and "She Got Game".
Dutch born Lucretia has performed in musical theatre productions such as "Tip Top" and "Jenny Arean & Lucretia van der Vloot". She has also appeared in the popular Dutch TV-series "All Stars" as well as the "All Stars Movie". Lucretia and Rocq-E performed together in the popular theater shows "Female Factory" and "She Got
Game" which both successfully toured around Holland. In 2003 Lucretia released her first solo CD "Alles Wat Telt" and in 2004/2005 she toured with a theater show of the same name. After BBBXL Lucretia returned to the theaters and toured with her second successful solo show "Altijd Over Liefde".
Born in Winston-Salem North Carolina and Raised in New York, Michelle started her singing career as a little girl in
Church. Years later she was cast as Billie Holliday in the musical "Mama, I Want To Sing: The Whole Story". With which she toured in the United States and Europe. In the
Netherlands she was featured in theatre productions like: "The Sound of Motown" and "The Glory Of Gospel". Together with Rocq-E, Michelle was one of the featured singers in "R.E.S.P.E.C.T.", the Motown/Atlantic soul show.
The eagerly awaited first studio album from BB&B was released on October 31st. The album contains 13 tracks from uptempo numbers to soulful ballads and includes well known covers such as The Temptations "Treat Her Like A Lady" given a BB&B makeover to become "Treat Us Like A Lady" and the Soul Classic "Best Of My Love".
The album also contains 4 tracks written jointly by Michelle, Rocq-E and Lucretia including the albums title track "Everything's Changing". An added surprise is a fantastic BB&B version of "Ballroom Blitz" originally by the 70's Glam Rock band "Sweet"

Rocq-E Harrell, Lucretia van der Vloot & Michelle David, the ladies of Big,
Black & Beautiful have toured extensively over the past 6 years with their soul
stirring theatre performances. These three Sisters of Soul take you on a musical trip down
memory lane and bring you the classic sounds of girl groups like the Supremes, the Three
Degrees and the Pointer Sisters. But also contemporary girl groups like Destiny's Child
and Salt 'n Peppa are featured in their shows.
Big, Black & Beautiful - A Tribute To The Girl Groups, the ladies first
theatre tour, has toured across the Benelux for three seasons with sold out crowds every
night.
Their second show BB&B XL premiered in January 2006 and toured with rave
reviews. Again the Sisters treated their audience to hits from the Girl Group's mixed with
other Soul classics like "I'm Every Woman" and "I Will Survive" to
name just a few.
In January of 2008 the ladies premiered their latest show Big, Black & Beautiful
in Concert. At the request of their many fans, they put together a concert show which
featured highlights from the first and second shows and of course some new surprises as
well! The show at Amsterdam's Royal Theatre Carré on March 14th 2008 was recorded and has
been released on DVD.
