BEAT DRUNX
BEATS: One Cell
RHYMES: Rubski & Acrid Cast
CUTS: Courtasock
BEAT DRUNX is a Belgian hiphop group focused around producer/drummer/multi-instrumentalist One Cell. After a period of working with various deepfunk, rock and jazz formations, he teamed up with mc’s Rubski and Acrid Cast (a former member of Outspoken Members, part of the legendary Propaganda Tour) and DJ Court-A-Sock (an active member of DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband and various other bands).
Together, they released their first album called Brewed & Bottled, a record that was received with praising voices in both the Belgian hiphop community and indie circles all over thanks to an excellent combination of One Cell's stripped yet musical foundations and two mc's to complement those songs with hard-wrought, intricately flowing lyrics.
Rumours state that BEAT DRUNX are highly offensive and inconsiderate of your personal feelings.

Moment Of Clarity:
Moment Of Clarity is the sequel to the group’s first album Brewed & Bottled and picks up where the last album left off, both soundwise and conceptually. The two protagonists wake up in the aftermath of a night of mayhem, trying to reconstruct what happened by following a trail of bruises and black eyes to the sounds of a dragging drumbreak and a spine-tingling guitar.
The opening track immediately sets the tone for the rest of the album which features a variety of obscure tunes and dark characters lurking in the corner. Malpractice and Barkey’s Night Off show the barfly as seen from behind the bar or through the eyes of a professional nightlifer. Meanwhile, songs like Fireworks and Reasons To Rhyme provide sporadic glimpses of what really goes on behind the stone-faced facades of the two storytellers. One Cell provides a soundtrack that ranges from sinister to stomping and back to sensitive and outright scary, laying down the perfect atmosphere to tell the sad tale of a worn-out barfly who has long outstayed his welcome as a regular.
Moment Of Clarity leads listeners from a horrific hangover to episodes of heartbreak and back to another all-night brawl, only to have you wake up in the morning knowing that there has to be some sort of dreadful lesson to be learned from all this madness.
